Why do sites always call furtive pics snapped at the newsagent "scans"?
Because the pages have been scanned through a printer.
They obviously didn't want to tear up the magazine, so the pics are far from perfect and bent/curved to keep the spine intact.NemesisMonkeySupreme wrote:KirbyForce1 wrote:NemesisMonkeySupreme wrote:Pedantry Alert:

Then someone needs to learn how to use a scanner, 'cause those sure as hell look like photos to me.

as someone said, its a good time to be a G1 addict!

and after seeing the plans for streak/bluestreak/silverstreak/streakystreakystreakstreak... im not worried.
wheeljack is his own entity, thus one mold, one use. but this way they can at very least get two figures out of it: G1 toy accurate & G1 cartoon accurate.
and i dont think ive ever been more excited about some teaser/non-information than the ultra magnus silhouette.

What's this, now? Whose childhood? What toy? Huh?craggy wrote:on the other hand, of course I'm sorry if your childhood is ruined forever because an update of a Transformer toy from the 80s looks quite a bit like a Transformer toy.

According to Hisashi Yuki, the designing process is at 35% [Star Saber]. Those are the preliminary design sketches and will most likely change a lot before we see the final thing.
He also mentions that the main challenge is to decide on the price range - they want to deliver a great and affordable product so they're deciding on that boring stuff (drop/include features, accessories).
And... forget about the Phase 5, Phase 6 thing. It's just the magazine listing the news in a fancy way.

okay.. first, you're wrong.
they RARELY consider the toy coloring for anything.. and this isn't an exception.. the colors are based on the actual real life vehicle.. the colors aren't based on the toy whatsoever.
and if you read what hasui said about wheeljack.. he said that he tried to make the color of the vehicle mode as accurate to the real life car as he could, and said that he tried to make the robot mode look closer to the animation model.
so, again, the colors have absolutely nothing to do with the toy.

Indeed.craggy wrote:Slicer is certainly easier though, as no retooling required and no pesky legal dept worrying paint job.
