Re: Fill in the plotholes game! ROTF style!
why do all the primes have to sacrifice themselves to hide the cube, only to have it easily found by a four-person group of humans. then the fallen got a hold of it and since all the primes were dead optimus was left to fend for himself. but if they werent dead they could have handled this situation a lot easier
thats kind of a waste of primes

And it was found by seven men.

if devestator just wasnt in the movie doing his pointless stuff, the constructicons fighting elsewhere would have made sense.
and ya idk about scavenger / demolisher thing. seems lame. demolisher gets killed. now theres this scavenger guy that looks basically exactly like demolisher?
Perhaps Devastator was not made up of individual robots in this film, but just vehicles that were designated to be his arm, leg, etc. Because, in the movie, the only robot that came from Devastator was...well, Devastator. And maybe the Constructicon names were given to some characters to fool people on here like us into thinking that they would be making one, big bad robot; when in reality, they did not.
And I don't think the Long Haul, Mixmaster, Scrapper, or Rampage that we saw in robot mode in the movie was a Constructicon, just merely Decepticons...sadly...

ok well 4 men and 3 robots, but thats besides the point, it was really easy to find and obtain. the fallen, being the great and powerful being that he is, should have been able to find it. so the gist of what im saying is that the primes sacrificing themselves for the matrix is just kind of pointless

Kind of like if Sam had put the cube into Optimus's chest at the end of the first movie. Seriously, the decepticons would've been so pissed, they probably would've destroyed the world anyway...Primes seem to have no common sense, lol, they just think in the now-now.

Was the Fallen on Cybertron? And, noticing that Megatron and Starscream were out there I hope they had some sort of space bridge to get there and didn't just fly. Unless Cybertron was in this galaxy that wouldn't be feasible under even the most open minded conditions in regards to stretching reality.
Also, in Transformers 1 the battle between Autobots and Decepticons destroyed an entire downtown. There is no way that something like that could be kept secret LOL.

One thing thats been bugging me:
When they went through the checkpoint with the short-ass border guard, everyone was in Bumblebee, and Simmons talked hsi way through
How the hell did the Twins get through??? Did i miss something?
In the novel they had supermodel holograms for drivers

I was about to ask the same question.... But even if they did use holograms....why wouldn't midget man stop them? When Simmons was being interrogated he never said he was with the 2 vehicles behind him. I mean i guess if they had themselves male holograms and just talked through them... then they'd b okay.

The second Simmons said New York, mixed with the fact that they were driving an American car in Egypt, something that's not cheap, the midget probably thought that they were a rich family and the following vehicles were part of their convoy.

They were looking for Sam at that point right? They needed to come up with that story so the guard wouldn't notice him. Skids and Mudflap could have thrown up any hologram and just gotten waved through.

I think it was their ship, most likely the Nemesis.

IIRC its somewhere around the moons of Saturn. Wished they'd employed some subtitle indicators on the "locations" not on earth (or even on earth, not all people know where the Pyramids of Ga........Giza are (Bay at least)

Re: Fill in the plotholes game! ROTF style!
Thanks for the answer guys! Good thread here, cause as much as I loved this movie - a few things bugged me.
Devastator. I know this has been discussed before, but please tell me that decepticons weren't cloned in the battle in Egypt. To have a decepticon like Rampage be a part of Devastator AND still battle at the same time separately seems like just such a ridiculous over-site, especially considering the time and money that went into putting these CG characters in those battle scenes. Surely there is an explanation for that. Right?

Devastator works like G1 Omega Supreme or Armada Tidal Wave. It's one bot who's alt mode is a group of vehicles.

I just checked on that, Rampage is actually one of Devastator's legs. And while Devastator is walking to, and climbing up the pyramid Rampage is somehow in two places at one time chasing after Sam.
I'm sorry, thats just a ridiculous over-site and unacceptable. Still love the action and the effects - but COME ON Michael Bay. Seriously - how does that happen? How do you NOT notice that when doing all these effects shots? Its actually embarrassing.
In Transformers 3 the story and continuity really need to improve.

did you also notice that Devastators "Rampage" leg is yellow while the Rampage that Bumblebee fought was red?

Wait, what?
Omega Supreme is one robot that transforms into a rocket, a tank, and a base. RotF Devastator is one robot that transforms into a bunch of construction vehicles.
