Why does Hasbro keep taking my money (excluding most of the DOTM line. This makes up for it, as long as they've fixed all of the mold errors)?

That's a question that has to wait for Bot-Con I guess. judging by the timing I can only assume this is the version 1 without all the issues corrected unless Takara started making the improvements right after MP-09.

guess i should start saving now cause we all know its going to be overpriced but itll still be cheaper than the tarkara one. Why couldnt it be a walmart exclusive, they've been pretty good recently with keeping their exclusives stocked and at a decent price. I think hasbros version looks better anyway, never thought id say those words. If hasbros smart they'll have some way to order the trailer for the figure but i doubt it.

how many people cannot grasp that Hasbro are calling the character (who was called Hot Rod in the 80s) Rodimus nowadays? Its only been...*checks watch...5 years since Classics, and there were the reissues before that.

Plenty of reasons to gripe about this, if you're so inclined, but the name isn't, unless you think the price is going to be higher because of all those extra letters on the packaging. Then you're an idiot.
assembling a Neo-G1/TF:TM cast. Please PM if you have (or know of) the following at a reasonable price: Classics or Henkei Astrotrain, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, or 3rd Party iGear Ratchet and Ironhide.
Also looking for Universe Repugnus and Overbite, Frostbite and Longhorn and any Webdiver toys.

You guys keep going back and forth on whether the arm piping is chrome. Click on the photo on the first page. That pic gets super large. You can easily see on his left arm that those pipes are chromed. I keep saying so, you folks keep ignoring me, lol. Whether or not this is final product or mock up sampling, the figure in that box in that photo has chrome. This isn't Ripley's "Believe It or Not". This is fact.

Another thing you all do not notice is the G1 decal paint on his legs. Those triangle things are clearly present but everyone is either to busy complaining about him or trying to defend a solid version of this MP to take notice. How else will we all say Takara is > Hasbro?

Yeah, I noticed that too. It's a great little G1 nod that I really appreciate. I hope that this version includes all the fixes for the flawed Takara version too.

Who you callin an idiot?

It's not that it's called Rodimus, it's that it's called Rodimus PRIME

Everyone knows they can't use Hot Rod for whatever stupid reason, but that doesn't make a version that only turns into the car appropriate to call by the name of the version that turns into a space winnebago.

I guess if you want to display Rodimus Prime and Hotrod together and have them appear as separate characters, then doing it like this picture is the best way. I like the target master.

You are correct but look how the darker gray shows the definition in the lines. They are a lot more visible.

Yes, I like that aspect. Although I'm eager to see what the Hot Rod face looks like in that shade.

Show-accuracy FTW. :KREMZEEK:

So this is just following suit. Takara usually goes for show accurate and Hasbro does...other things.

But having it different enough to actually warrant buying a second time FTW. :KREMZEEK:

We'll have to see the toy in the flesh first, really. I still think it looks **** there, but that may change when its in-hand. I'm not going to hold my breath, though.

I'll definitely pick this up. I just hope he doesn't have problems holding onto his Targetmaster. I also hope the "fixes" are present and live up to the hype.

EDIT: I also think he'll look much better out of that plastic bubble. It make him look pretty bad, especially his face.
