Magnetic force and having it instantly transformer as it does so.
-Turn the wings forward, then fold them in
-Pull the silver weapon mounts to his sides, over the wing joints
-Fold the weapon mount wings downward to wrap completely around
-Straighten legs out, then turn feet around
-Push head in
Seems pretty simple IMO.

Irrelevant to my point, but okay. =DSabrblade wrote:It went from tape to bird, and was an unpainted gray prototype.orangeitis wrote:It don't seem that hard to figure it out though. We all know that there are exclusives and with this mould, I completely expected an exclusive Clampdown, Deepcover and Tigertrack. I could even understand a G2 Sideswipe exclusive out of the mold. Heck, if they wanted to go with extras, the idea of bonus coins is a great way to go too, like what robotkingdom is doing.
But for the love of Primus, don't gut every single release but the store exclusive of some of their accessories. At this stage (and please feel free to jump in on the first one if I'm wrong) Soundwave looks like he'll only come with energon cubes as the exclusive version, and Sideswipe is missing his secondary pile drivers (jackhammer versions). If they were going to be made, then that should be the very territory that simply never gets explored. At the risk of invoking the Transformers version of Godwin's Law, I would have thought that both Hasbro and Takara would have learned from Hasbro's mistake with the Games of Deception Boxset.
On top of that, they give the exclusive to an online retailer in Japan that doesn't ship internationally, when they'd know full well that their International customer base for Masterpieces is potentially the whole of Hasro's adult Transformers fan demographic.
I realise that robotkingdom is getting in a limited quantity of these (which due to the limited quantities only a partial workaround), but the problem there is you have to pay for your orders up front, even if they're 6 months away. So in this case, if you wont have the money now but have budgeted for them at the end of the year; you're screwed.
Honestly, I think the lesson TakaraTomy need to take from this is that their engineering and design teams should be allowed to let loose as much as possible with future releases because all they touch appears to be gold. However at the same time, their marketting department needs to be kept on a VERY tight leash in terms of "great ideas".

It's okay buddy. We got the same hands too I hope right? It's okay if our toys share the same qualities. They're just trying to spread the brolove.

I hope you don't touch yourself with my hands then![]()
. I was just surprised that there wasn't some kind of remolding going on with these two.

They do look very similar, but Soundwave's hands seem to have an extra joint on the index finger.
Apart from that though, they look identical.

You are right, on closer inspection, Soundwave has Optimus Prime's hands Sideswipe and Red Alert don't have the extra joint on the index finger. I wish they would do away with the fixed thumb though.

Personally I'm waiting on a 3rd Party company to make better hands, ala Gundam or the like, even if they would be snap-together kits.
I'm looking at you iGear.

You could probably suggest that to Fakebusker83 over on TFW2005. Ariel has awesome stuff on shapeways, including hands.

Anyone else realized we can get a G2 Soundwave AND Soundblaster repaints like we got with the Masterpiece seekers?

Well, yes, but he was purple in the whole U.S. Marvel Comics run, G1 and G2 (though, Marvel UK had him correctly colored blue).MasterSoundBlaster wrote:Sabrblade wrote:But the only G2 Soundwave was the Go-Bots one, and he was a car.MasterSoundBlaster wrote:That's just beautiful...

G2 comics,he was purple.
Wasn't he? Or is that a different timeline?
