In response to the last 2 posts^^

-No there's no PC demo out, but the game's only $19.95. Pick it up.

- The PC graphics might be best, but they're still nothing to write home aobut. We've all seen a lot better. Don't expect Gears of War with transforming cars. (Wow. Pay attention, game industry, that sounds GOOD.)

I will say this: the cybertron "missions" SUCKED.

All it is is a large enclosed space where you see if you can defeat 30 drones plus a few bosses with optimus or megatron.

The game would have been better if they didnt even exist. Lame.

I just got it for the Wii today, had to cross the bridge to get because none of my local stores had them available. All I can say is that it's awsome. The controls take a little getting used to, but its fun. I also got the DS version for 20 bucks at Circuit City, and no complaints yet.

Reminds me of the "collectors edition" of most wanted that promised to unlocked a old camaro... it didnt say anywhere that you could only use it in custom missions.

Can anyone with the game confirm that you can do mid-jump transformations.

I got the PS2 version today. I have 3 of the G1 skin codes. Same ones Target is offering.

First off, go to the menu screen that has bonus features as an option and enter these:

G1 Jazz Skin: Left, Up, Down, Down, Left, Up, Right

G1 Optimus Skin: Down, Down, Up, Up, Right, Right, Right

G1 Starscream Skin: Right, Down, Left, Left, Down, Up, Up

If you entered these correctly the screen will flash real quick. You will have the option of having the movie characters with G1 Paint Schemes. You can turn it on or off. I don't know the other 2 G1 Skins yet.

Also, you cannot transform in mid-jump = (

Yes, the cement mixer drone is a pain in the butt if someone doesn't tell you how to beat him.

Nope.

What's worse, in the cybertron mission, you can't transform AT ALL.

I've been impressed by what I've played so far. I'm playing the Decepticon campaign, and I enjoy going around blowing stuff up more than the actual game.

There is nothing more fun (yet) than playing as Barricade, and slowly walking across the street, getting hit by a car, and then booting said car across the landscape. Priceless.

I found the same G1 skins mentioned on gamestop.com. Since I could save 20% on the strategy guide I shelled out for it too. It's funny, because almost all of the subsections in the guide are the names of Transformers from the past.

Is it true the pc version is only at target. IF SO I HATE TARGET WITH ALL MIND AND BODY. We have no target anywhere I have to go throught a buttload of countys just to get there.

Yeah, but nothing that wasn't done better in Hulk: Ultimate Destruction. But then,he couldn't transform. Still, I kinda wonder why Activision had to step BACK a notch from a 2-year-old game.

The Cybertron missions are indeed a rip. Just a big square room full of drones. Whoopee.

Is the unlockable RoboVision Optimus (no flames!) exclusive to the Target version? He showed up after I beat the game. SuhWEET! And does anyone know what the other unlockable skins are? There seem to be five in all... G1 Prime, G1 Jazz, G1 Starscream, RoboVision Prime, and.. ???

Theres nothing exclusive to any of the versions. Its just what codes they come with. The game disc is the same in all the different versions (Target, Cyb etc...)

That stands to reason. I was starting to think RoboVision was a Target trademark, though... it's kind of something they've latched on to. So what's the fifth skin?

And on what screen do you input the codes for the G1 ones?

I've been playing both Wii and PC versions all day. The Deceipticon side is fun on the Wii... easier to control aircraft. The Autobot is easier on the PC... plus the PC DOES have nicer graphics that the console port. But that really is not saying much.

All in all, I'm having fun fighting and transforming, but I am not blind to the slapshod designing. I mean, in one mission, you play as Prime and must chase down Sector 7 helicopter that has Bumblebee. It just HAPPENS to be you luck that the high tech, super secretive agency of sneakiness has helicopter pilots who ONLY FLY ALONG ROADS.

Oh, and did anyone else notice that in the MANY "chase down ___ before he reaches ____" missions, you do nothing but follow your target around a small circle of roads? I knocked out a building and passed by that same building four times.

Sloppy. Real sloppy.

What are you talking about? First of all, Hulk: Ultimate Destruction was PUBLISHED by Vivendi and DEVELOPED by Radical Entertainment. Both companies had nothing to do with Transformers the game. So i dont see what you mean about activision taking a step back on a game they had nothing to do with.

Whoa, easy, there.

I had the game confused with the Spidey games. Honest mistake.

Nevertheless, it's not as though developers exist in a bubble. It was even stated in a developer interview for Transformers that H:UD was the inspiration for the free-roaming portions of the game. Just because a developer had nothing to do with the actual production a game does not mean that they are unaware of the progress and momentum of the entire industry. Hulk: Ultimate Destruction itself borrowed heavily from Spider-Man 2, from the engine used right down to controls mapping.

So, While I admit I made a mistake, I also think it's unfair to defend Activision on this basis. The superior engine (from Spidey 2) is STILL three years old, and has STILL been used to a greater potential in another, older game.

Weapon: Switch Blade Tail
Toys R Us in Robinson Towne Center (Pittsburgh) had all formats in stock.

No other stores (including video rental) had 'em. Tomorrow is the release date, they all said. Sure enough, checked online and the 27th is the date.

...wtf?

Here's some codes for you guys. Put them in at the screen right after you select new game or load game.
D=down, U=Up, R=right, L=left

Robovision Optimus Skin (Prime without Flames): DDUURRR
G1 Starscream Skin: RDLLDUU
G1 Jazz Skin: LUDDLUR

Cybertron Levels: RUUDRLL

The other two G1 characters are a G1 modeled Optimus and a G1 modeled Megatron (Not just skins, All new models)
To get them, collect all of the Autobot (For Optimus) or Decepticon (For Megs) symbols throughout each level.
So far I don't think there is a code out for them. If someone knows though, please share!

I'm pretty sure Activision are only the publisher. They contribute funds to the developers, and handle the mass production of the DVDs, packaging etc. but have no real input into the development of the game itself.
If you want to get angry at any company for the quality of this game, be angry at Travelers Tales. They're the ones who made it, and as the makers of the excelent Lego Star Wars series this sounds like quite a step backwards for them.
