Hmm.. Those look like the hinges I've seen for r/c hobby modeling.

That's because they are. They're Du-Bro small nylon hinges. They aren't the only R/C parts I'm using either. The wheels are R/C modle airplane tail wheels.

Update time again. I am nearly done with the legs, except for some civering of holes and such. She has feet now YAY!!!.

I have also completed fabrication of her head, which required some modification to her back pod. All in all, I have made some significant progress, though there is still much to be done. Here is the latest batch of WIP pics:
