Hero Prime or Prime of Justice.
Unlike the domestic version, he is packed in a semi action pose in robot form.He comes with a small blue gun, and a back mounted bellow plus two missiles. In vehicle mode, not a flatnose this time but a 18 wheeler Kennworth type truck with a non removable air powered missile launcher.
Similar to the G1 Onslaught style of transformation but in reverse. His head retains the iconic G1 features with some refinements. He's got light piping but a really useless one at that because his optics are translucent clear.
Poseable than the original including a hip swivel. Shoulders,elbows,hips and knee joints. Tight and not floppy.
Great looking brick in very bright hero colors. The plastic is quite glossy and no yellowing in the white parts...yet.
Chrome on his hubcaps and headlights and front grill. A bit back heavy given the lack of heel supports (his cab this time make up his feet.
Gimmick ( not a well thought of one) of an air powered missile launcher. In paper, it sounds good but the launcher part is permanently molded into his right forearm. And the plastic/rubber hose that powers the pressure bellows is too short when the bellows are attached to his back. Hopefully I won't fall victim to potential rubber rut.
Cheesy part, the word Optimus Prime is emblazoned on his faux windshield chest ( he's called Convoy in Japan yet he sports the Optimus name

Weird part......he doesn't have any Autobot sigils on him

dated TF. Today we are so spoiled. Back then, this looked awesome. Too bad he came out in the later parts during the franchise's dying days.
Hero Megatron or Emperor of DestructionA purple colored black striped M1 Abram's tank like vehicle ( he jealous of Shockwave?
). Again, unlike the domestic release, he is packaged in robot mode in a somewhat heroic action pose. His transformation is similar to the oversized Green Megastorm BWII figure and the battery + sound effect domestic G2 Megatron, only smaller.
He comes with a small gun, two missiles and a back mounted bellow that powers the launcher.
Poseable with a hip swivel. Megastorm mold doesn't have that.
He also has chrome on his pseudo tank wheels.

Cheesy part, the words
"Megatron Rules!" (or just loves to rub it on Starscream's face)is emblazoned on his lower chest with a lot of kill notches marked (he's the counting type I guess).
Unlike Prime, he
has a Decepticon G2 sigil on his left shoulder.
Complaints? His legs are kind off floppy. Not sure if it's a common issue for the mold or just my version.
Thoughts? A better (would have been best if no floppiness)
dated TF. The color is kind off a pain to the eyes (due to it place in the electromagnetic spectrum) but hey, this is G2. As I mentioned on Prime of Justice above, we are so spoiled today. Back then, this looked awesome (given the existing engineering tech back then). Too bad he came out in the later parts during the franchise's dying days (is his purple somewhat related to the purple of Beastwars Megs? Or a holdover from G1 Galvatron?
Ah gone were the days when toy collecting was such a simple pass time.
Trivia:
Based on recent retcons, Hero Prime and Megatron are the same G1 characters post Battlestars Return of Convoy. Prime being post Starconvoy and Black Nucleon Convoy respectively while Megs is the "rescued" from Star Giant gone good guy turned bad guy again Megatron before current tank Megatron from the Legends Universe.
Both figures cost Y 1,500 back in 1994 while the original G1 Convoy cost Y 3,900.
