Finished the game; it was fun but really short. Ended with 300 Agility Orbs, 80 Hidden Orbs, and four star ratings in all skill areas except Driving.

Damn, how short is that game, in terms of hours? Being overly short is one of my biggest concerns with games, such as Metroid Zero Mission and Prey. I was really surprised that Prey took my 8 hours to clear, and I wasn't even speedrunning.
By the way, again, great sig.

With Crackdown you could probably blaze through the main mode in about 12 hours or so. More if you want to find every Hidden Orb and Agility Orb, and run all the Road Races. The biggest gripe is there just isn't that much to do for sidemissions. You have Rooftop Races and Road Races and that's all, except for what you can find on your own (car juggling, body juggling, jumping rooftops with touching the street that sort of thing).

game length is the entire reason I disliked Zelda:Wind Waker. Only 3 dungeons and 2 sages? And by the time you're done, 60% of the map is still unexplored. There was simply too much focus on sidequests in that game and not enough main game to keep me interested.
It's been awhile, but I think you're right. Aside from locating Hidden Packages Shoreside was a bit of a dead zone; still, the game does reach it's climax there (the fight on the dam), but yeah Portland and Staunton Island had more to do.83457W422102 wrote:The Happy Locust wrote:Binaltech Bombshell wrote:83457W422102 wrote:Binaltech Bombshell wrote:Crackdown:

Same reason I didn't like Shoreside Vale in GTA3. The island had a lot of space and interesting areas (airport, warehouses, etc) but there wasn't enough to do there in terms of mandatory story missions. There was, what, a single mission?

Race Serie: Finished Stadium Training and Easy, unlocked Stadium Normal and Island Training.
I prefer United's Unlocking system over Sunrise's. I really didn't like having to break my balls to get Gold medals just to reach another Series and have to do it over again. I like Original's unlocking system - complete the track to get the next one. Original put the emphasis and playing more tracks and having fun, Sunrise put the emphasis on playing the same track over and over again to master it.
