I didn't, actually. In fact, I think that's the only main MGS game I didn't play twice. (The same could be said of Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops, but that's not a main MGS game, despite being canon)

Super Mario Galaxy:
BEATEN! More or less...I'm only at 62 stars, but I beat the Final Boss, so it counts.

Also, that is probably the best boss music I've ever heard.

Same here! The motorcycles ones are like moving targets. I've gotten all up until then, too, but I just can't hit them. I think I hit one or two of the "moving" ones, but I can never tell since I race away before I can hear them ribbit.

Only way I know how to check if youve hit them is by having your D-Mic equipped.. going into the survival viewer, equipping the GA-KO camo.. then coming out of that.. if theres a frog in the area that youve not hit, itll ribbit afew times.. the D-Mic will help you pinpoint where abouts it is..

Startropics II: Zoda's REvenge
Started the game. got sent back in time to the caveman era and decided to help the natives by destroying a man-eating monster named Yum-yum. By doing so, I rescued the children of the natives and also found a magic block (which looks eerily like a tetris piece). With no other place to go, reactivated the time travel spell and got sent forward to Egypt. My current quest, to go track down a pizza delivery man for the queen.

I'm stuck at the Sherlock Holmes timeframe. I can't beat the floating brain thing in the water.

I decided to bust out the first Spider Man game for the PS1. I used to know this game backwards and forwards, but now there's parts I don't even recognize. I just got done chasing Venom around in the sewers—now it's on to fight some Symbiotes at the Daily Bugle.

Can't remember off the top of my head. Will have to try it and get back to you.

on that note...

Startropics II: Zoda's Revenge
After leaving the Queen's barge, fought my way through a cave (complete with giant scorpion boss) which led me to the other side of the mountains. after picking up a ride from rent-a-camel, met the pizza deliveryman (riding a tortoise, of all things). Took the pizza back to the queen. She then gave me a ride to the pyramid where the next magic block is located.
The pyramid was blocked by a magic field so I needed another option. Went up north and chased a monkey through a field of tall reeds. The monkey turned out to be magical and gave me a psychic shockwave attack. This attack was just the thing to break the seal on the pyramid. Fought my way though, defeating a floating Pharoah head, and collected the magic block.
With my job here done, cast the time-travel spell again and was transported to Sherlock holmes' era.

72 stars. I just tried one of the Trial Galaxies, which are supposed to be the toughest in the game. PSH! I tried one of the rolling stages, and it wasn't so bad. Yeah, I lost a single life, but c'mon, this is Mario. Despite it's cute exterior, if you take it lightly, as if the difficulty is made for kids, you're sure to lose.

I think the biggest annoyance is the moment you realize that you can walk off the edge of a temporary platform. I was so used to just being able to walk up to an edge and not fall off that it caught me off guard.

BTW, managed to clear the brain thingy on the 2nd try. Not to difficult. You just can't rush the battle though. one hit on each platform and you'll take him down in 3 rounds.

Thing is, the platforms only spawn once, don't they? I mean, I can only do 1 lap. After that, they stop spawning and I drown.

F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin Demo [PC]:
Simply amazing. The elementary school is very very creepy. Those children's drawings are messed up. Reminds me of the hospital from Extraction Point, which I guess isn't canon any more.

You have to take a circular path. They only spawn in one direction but the one below the brain is close enough to dry land that you can hop off, head back to the top platform and continue. The first one is the one that respawns.

I need to get back into that game. I finished Mario's game completely but stopped halfway through Luigi's version because other games came out.

Startropics II: Zoda's Revenge
Sherlock somehow knew that Zoda was going to steal the block. We didn't arrive in time to stop it, however. I chased Zoda through the sewers, eventually fighting a weird brain thingy (see earlier notes). After that was another sewer level, this time with the boss being Zoda-X. Defeating him despite the disadvantages of darkness and platforms that move you on their own. Still, defeated the bad guy (who momentarily morphed into the final boss form from the original startropics) and earned the magic block. Used the time travel spell again and got thrown into another time frame. Now it's the wild-wild-west.

lol, tetrads.

I find it funny that they used Sherlock Holmes, who's a character and not a historical figure... I guess meeting an important historical figure from that time wouldn't have been as cool, but stiil.

It fits the theme, I guess.

Super Mario Galaxy
Shadowman's posts got me wanting to play this again. Pulled the game out and found that I was only 11 stars in as Luigi. Well, that just means I get to play more of it. Up to 18 stars after clearing the rolling green galaxy and getting 3+1+1 stars on the Space Junk Galaxy (3 stars + secret star + comet star).

I didn't, actually. In fact, I think that's the only main MGS game I didn't play twice. (The same could be said of Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops, but that's not a main MGS game, despite being canon)

Hardest thing I think I've ever had to do was get those frogs. I even managed to get all the dog tags in MGS2, but not these frogs. Try it out, Shadowman. You'll find the first thirty or so easy, and then after a few motorcycle scenes, you'll want to throw your system out the window.
