Final Fantasy Tactics:
Well, I WAS working for the Hokuten Knights...then it turned out everyone surrounding me was a bunch of amoral douchebags who'd sell out their closest friends for the smallest of one-ups on their enemies. So now I'm working a Mercenary gig. (And if you replace Hokuten Knights with "SOLDIER" you get the backstory for a secret character, I can't be the only one who noticed that.)

While fighting Algus (The "final boss" so to speak, of Chapter 1), two of the Black Mages (The game uses the term "Wizard," but it's a Black Mage) on his side targeted Ramza...who was standing directly next to Algus. Since magic attacks also hit anyone directly next to the target, Algus was done in by his own Black Mages. Considering the guy was a royal prick (In more ways than one!), I think it was a fitting end.

MuraMasa: The demon blade
the girl on the ghost horse ran off to complete her mission. I found her defeated by an exorcist who took down her ghosts. The exorcist tried to bring down my resurrected self but I sent her packing. Continued after the girl and found her in a temple nearly eaten by a spider-demon. Took out the spider-demon.

PainKiller: Overdose
The levels are getting continually more varied. AFter the Japanese level came an asteroid level which was somewhere between sci-fi and celestial. Go figure.

Overlord II:
Got kicked out of Nordberg after I ruined Christmas after blowing up a big public Christmas tree. Later, after becoming the new Overlord while dear old dad is trapped in the Abyss, I practiced gathering Minion Life Force by clubbing baby seals. During this time, a Gnome (In this game, tiny annoying, harmless being much smaller than a Minion) instigated what Gnarl (My faithful adviser) considered an act of war; rushing towards the Overlord, falling flat on his face a few inches from the Overlord's tremendous boot, and then being crushed by it. As such, I'm now at war with the Gnomes.

After wrecking an Elf Sanctuary and reuniting with the Reds, and conquering Nordberg, I had to steal...well, take, since it's technically MINE after my bloody conquering, a boat from Nordhaven. However, it was lodged in a very thick layer of ice. After igniting a handful of of tar pits (Using Gnomes as fuses--THE GNOME MENACE WILL BE ERADICATED), the last bit of ice still needed to be thawed. My choices were ignite one last big tar pit, or use my Subduction to make them do it, likely killing themselves in the process. Since I'm trying to go for LESS evil, I took the Tar pit option. Turns out, that tar pit was actually an oil well. And, well, Oil burns, much like the town did, which is the outcome I was trying to avoid. Ooh, you sneaky game!

Now I'm in Everlight, the original forest home of the Elves. (Evernight/Everlight...) A huge river dominates it, though. Gnarl suspects it was caused by...well, a huge block being suddenly melted not too far away. My bad, Elves. (Not really, those guys are jerks)

Weapon: Black Magic
MuraMasa: The Demon Blade
After the spider-demon bit, took the long road Eastward and met up with Torohime on top of Mt. Fuji where her ghost army had been defeated (yet again). This time, by a dragon god. Using my demon blade and oboro style, humbled the Demon god and got him to help me. Nearing the end of Kisuke's quest.
EDIT:
Cleared Kisuke's quest. His girlfriend died and went to heaven. He pleaded for her life but the gods wouldn't bring down a soul that reached enlightenment. Unwilling to live without her, Kisuke killed himself and descended to Hell. Seeing this, His girlfriend's spirit pleaded her case, and the pair were reincarnated as peaceful villagers, not warriors, and Kisuke's fox friend is acting as a secret matchmaker to keep them together.

Oddly, this game has 3 endings per character. Played Kisuke's ending a 2nd time and got a completely different ending where he lived, she died, and the final boss was MOmohime. Played Momohime's ending a 2nd time and fought Kisuke.

I'm kinda confused by all this as the endings for each character are completely contradictory. Still, fun game but I'm done with it.

Overlord: Raising Hell:
Offed the previous Overlord, then took a casual stroll through the Abyss, your classical fire-and-brimstone hell. Got Melvin to blow up a series of walls, then walked out with an Abyss Stone. Now for the Abyss gate in Evernight, and Oberon's punishment, seeing a poorly-produced play of the dwarves wiping out the elves.

Weapon: Black Magic
Final Fantasy 4: The After years
Here's the rundown. Completed each of Edge's 4 rookies's quests, intersecting with 4 other tales I've already played. AFterwards, Edge decided to go investigate the tower of Babel by himself. After each battle, a rookie caught up and joined him. The group caught up to the Mysterious girl but were no match for her and her Eidolon. The game then turned into an escape as the Eidolon continued to hound us. We reached the airship bay where Edge had escaped in the previous game but no airship was to be found. Instead, took a leap of faith, falling all the way to the underworld and landing on a passing airship piloted by our friends Rydia & Luca and the man in black from Rydia's tale. Story over.
Started Porom's quest. First it was a past scene with Porom & Palom at 10 years old or so, retracing Tellahs' steps as Porom continued his quest to become a sage. After fighting an octopus monster in an underground lair, Palom berated Porom for his less-than-sagelike attitude. Forward a few more years and Palom & porom are grown up. They travel to Myst, meet Rydia (who still has her summons at this stage) and they go underworld to the dwarf castle, pick up Luca, and then head to the Feymarch. After traveling through the Feymarch tunnel, we are turned back as Rydia goes ahead, then comes back, refusing to explain what happened (time passes differently in the feymarch). We returned to the airship and moved ahead. Now, in the present day, we're at the point where Porom's left for his quest and now Palom has to head to Mt. Ordeals, with cameos by one of Edge's rookies.

Resident Evil: Director's Cut:
Oh my God, if they made a movie in the style of the opening cutscene, I would buy it right now! That is just so laughably bad! I never laughed at a guy being killed by a monster dog before, but DAMN if I can't help but laugh at the expression at that guy's face.

Fought some Zombies (Increasing my Zombie Kill Count for the week by an insignificant amount; Thanks, Left 4 Dead 2!), met up with Rebecca. Jill and Wesker have vanished; Finding Wesker is more important, because he can't be evil. He's like Optimus Prime meets Superman.

Final Fantasy 4: The after years
Palom's quest took her to Mt. Ordeals to track down Kain alongside a generic black mage and white mage. After some prodding, he returned with us to the town. When we got there, the town was under siege by monsters coming from the Demon's road to Baron. We defeated a stone golem and an eyewing creature, but then the mysterious girl showed up and killed the village elder. Kain switched sides and took the city's crystal, leaving Mysida in shambles. end Palom's tale.
Being Edward's tale. Edward's chancellor informs him of a meteor strike near Fabul (the same one investigated in Yang's tale). Edward sends his secretary Harley to investigate. After she fails to return, he takes some guards and investigates as well. After catching up to Harley and seeing the effects of the Meteor, they return to the castle. Once there, they get a message from a Baron messenger stating that Baron will be investigating the meteor. Finding this odd, Edward plans a trip to Baron to see Cecil. Taking Harley and some guards, they head through the underground caverns to Kaipo, where Harley succumbs to desert fever. Needing a sand pearl to cure her, Edward must now head back through the same caverns. ugh..

Painkiller: overdose
cleared the first chapter's levels including a giant fire-barreldemon boss. Moved onto chapter 2. Cleared the riot stage where my enemies consisted of demonic cops, taggers with acidic spraypaint, and guys in armor with flamethrowers. (???)

New Super Mario Bros. Wii
Started the game and took it for a test drive. Cleared stages 1-1 through the first mid-level fortress and discovered a warpzone to level 5. Nifty.

Did a few more things, netting me a shotgun. After an incident involving a big-ass snake, Chris ended up poisoned, and Rebecca had to save him. Her exact words, "I think you will be okay, I gave you a shot." While I trust her medical expertise, "I think you'll be okay because I jabbed a syringe full of chemicals into you" isn't exactly assuring...

Took some time to explore the broken steel add-on. Using my powers of persuasion, peacefully stopped a radiation cult from stealing Megaton's water supply and irradiating it. Also negotiated a peace between some unruly settlers and a water supply caravan.

Escaped a fake execution/ambush. I had to have the computer fight this one for me, seeing as how it's a cheating bastard, I could at least have that same cheating bastard work for me. On the one hand, I'm not exactly proud of that. On the other, i can say that the computer tends to make insane mistakes. Apparently, the "protect fading life" command I gave my White Mage only works when she's near a character who was at critical health. She had just healed my Black Mage to just slightly above critical health, and thus she was confident enough to attack a Knight (A White Mage attacking at all is an insane move) allowing the Knight, in his next move, to casually walk over to my Black Mage and kill him, then turn around and kill my White Mage before she was able to successfully cast Raise. Another player was able to use a Phoenix Down on my White Mage, but the Black Mage was gone for good. There was also a computer-controlled Ramza using "Throw Stone" on an archer, despite being able to easily move next to her for his much more powerful regular attack. At least Agrias is a good enough uber-powered War Goddess to kill everything ever. (Though she won't use Split Punch when computer controlled, even when it's a better choice both for range and power, plus the change of Death sentence)

Made some progress. AFter the nuclear plant level came a farm/slaughterhouse/fast food joint where the enemies included evil chicken coops that fire bloodied chickens, bulls in butcher outfits, and saw-blade headed butchers. After that, reached a norse-themed Ragnarok level. At the end of that level, fought Cerebus, a 3 dog-headed villain who had been responsible for Belial's entrapment. Puppy got put down.
Next level was a Disney-esque enchanted forest where I put down evil knights, banshee princesses, corpses on torture racks, living scarecrows, and evil trees. Yeah, this game's twisted.

I remembered the bad things 1337W422102 said about the PC version of Resident Evil 4, and that worried me at first, but from the looks of things, RE5 seems to be a LOT better, it handles a lot more like the Wii version of RE4, which is a good thing. Likewise, I'm not seeing a lot of the horrible things Sheva is supposed to do when under AI control. Sure, she'll occasionally take ammo even though she shouldn't, but at this point, I've actually got too much ammo, and in typing this it just occurred to me that I don't need two SMGs and I should probably drop one next time I get to the inventory/shop menu. Also, I'm totally digging Chris's straight punch. If I could punch a dude so hard he flew ten feet backwards and died, I'd be set for life.

GAME.OVER!
After clearing a haunted amusement park (again), a B-movie film studio, and a WWII flying fortress, got to Samael's lair and took him down a few pegs. With the people who put Belial in captivity now defeated, the ending seems to imply that Belial will meet the Painkiller protagonist. too bad the game's reception pretty much killed that possibility.
I liked the Painkiller games, even Overdose. But after playing the main game and 2 expansions, I'm ready to move on.

House of the Dead: Overkill
Made it through the swamps, the prison, and the overkill bunker in order to reach Varla, Cesar, and the Warden and his mother. His mother, BTW, is the final boss. go figure. Anyway, cleared the game and unlocked the director's cut. Time to replay and see what got added.

New Super Mario Bros Wii
Cleared the desert world, moving on to level 3.

Passed through some mines, then an Umbrella/Tricell research facility infested with Lickers, of all things.

Saved Jill, then snuck onto Wesker's boat. His accomplice, Excella, was infected with Uroboros, and by assimilating a huge pile of bodies (They were either infected by Uroboros or Las Plagas, perhaps even both) she mutated into a very very large...thing. It's like a plant meets an octopus. Fortunately, the boat had a special weapon--a targeting module for a laser-equipped satellite. Death from above indeed.

Nifty.

Resident Evil 5:
BEATEN! Chased Wesker down, then made him OD on the stuff that keeps him alive. Then threw him into a volcano. Then shot at him with rockets. I got 10:1 odds he's back in time for RE6.

Unlocked Mercenaries Mode, new costumes for Chris and Sheva. Now I'm going to play as Sheva for New Game +. The camera being over her left shoulder is pretty trippy.

Fallout 3
Catching up on the expansions. In the Broken steel set, talked the MOnastery out of stealing the Aqua Pura, 'forcibly disbanded' a water bandit gang, and forced a corrupt Water-peddling ghoul to go legit.
Next up on Pimp My Jeager.

I'd say it's a spambot, but since it hasn't tried to sell me anything, I'm going to go with 'troll.'

Resident Evil 5:
Unlocked Jill and Wesker for Mercenaries mode, as well as Chris's Safari and S.T.A.R.S. outfits, and Sheva's "Clubbin" outfit, also for Mercenaries mode. While Wesker doesn't have his kill-everything-forever Matrix-style superpowers, or health items, his Magnum does come in handy for making things dead.
