shajaki wrote:same. you cant go wrong with a laser prime. and that soundwave kinda reminds me of the linkin park G1 reissue. my only complaint is that the clear to bronze plastic ratio seems a bit off. i hope the clear stuff isnt just clear. id like to see some paint apps.megatronus wrote:Not so much love for these from the fandom, I guess.
I think they will grow on you. People thought YotH MP Prime was garish, ugly, and unnecessary at first... that is, until they got him in hand.![]()
Hey, if you guys don't want that MP Soundwave, more for me!
as it is, i have two running MP displays: the normal one, and the crazy variant display (comic, diaclone, black, year of ____, ect). it works just fine for me
Cobotron wrote:Hey! You seemed to have attracted a wild Megatronus. They're hard to find, but boy are they fun when you catch one!
well... the face of the tapes appear to be solidly painted. hopefully that translates to some nice 50/50 mix of painted/clear plastic.megatronus wrote:I'm more interested in seeing if the cassettes have any other paint apps.
Burn wrote:Cobotron wrote:Burn wrote:The brown clashes with the translucent plastic ... yet I'm still likely to get Prime.
But again, another Chinese year ... another missed opportunity ... this time Ramulus.
My first thought was, awe, maybe one of those cassettes turns into a goat!
Agreed, Ramulus was the obvious choice. Bet we wont see any Optimus primals for Y.O.Monkey.
I'd chop off a finger for a translucent Voyager Op Primal.
These are another case of, so stupid they work for me. I'm a sucker for translucent stuff.
How about ... himor him or even him?

Well I am Australian. It's kinda what we're known for.
Funny you should mention that, because I think U.S. TRUs are giving away Lego Batsignals tomorrow!Siger wrote:Thanks I can't afford the electric bill of a Batsignal so I'll probably pass on these.

This might not be the right thread to ask. Am I the only one wanting a glow-in-the-dark transformer?

Not that they light up or anything, it just struck me as funny you happened to mention not being able to afford one now.
ahem
One other possible use of this would be that clear plastic is as susceptible to dye as white plastic, right? So we could just dye these into whatever we wanted...unless that makes clear plastic even more brittle. Any way of avoiding that? Cause if so, I could finally have that Yomotov-purple Soundwave we're not likely to ever get. And Fremble could become background generics from the first 3-parter, Ravage could stay invisible or become MP BlackCat, the birds...don't have a lot of options beyond Garboil, Sundor...maybe Blockrock?

I hope it's not too late. My hunting skills fail me, unless I'm looking for the wrong thing.
How close is, "the closest we got?"
Got a link or a couple more search words? I don't dislike Armada or McDonald's so much that I wouldn't jump on a glowy version of a TF.

Intah-wib-buls?

Leave it to Dead Metal to have the word 'Pronz' in his signature.

If you collect them and display them, do you take them out of the box, or are the strictly "collectors' items?"

I made a decision to not buy any Unicron Trilogy molds, so I was out Year of the Snake. Year of the Dragon Prime was cool, and I might still pick him up one day, but I already have the Asia Premium Series Prime, which is sufficient for the time being.
Year of the Horse Starscream is out, as per above. But YOTH Prime is awesome. If possible, I try to get 2 of figures I like so I can keep one stored and minty fresh, and open the other. So it goes with YOTH Prime. I expect to do the same with Year of the Goat Soundwave. If Laser Prime is decently priced, I might pick him up.
