(wasn't quite counting the sword since it's an optional thing that's specific to one version of max)

Yeah, some of us did that with Metroplex too, getting Six Gun and Slammer replacements...

True, but Metroplex at least had most everything that was iconic about them aside from those little mini robo dudes - and when you spent the money on them, you at least got nice individual figures which are fun on their own and feel less a necessity for Metroplex but more something that increases what greatness there already is.
Fort Max feels like he's just gonna be an exercise in getting parts to make him actually have the things that make him iconic.

I really, really agree here.
Fort Max really feels cheap because he has so many things just moved around and sloppily left out. There's not even a remould to get rid of things like the gap left over from Metro's repair arm or the arm movement or the parts that used to attach to the large panels on the back of Max's legs. And why not do something, anything, for those hollow legs?
Building him up will be kinda fun, but I totally agree - we shouldn't have to do that to get a figure that's as good as Metroplex.
Kurona wrote:Well technically, there's nothing exactly wrong with Fort Max as a figure and as a toy - arguably he has a lot more options and play value than Metroplex. The problem is in terms of him as a character and representing the original figure - that he's missing a lot of what made him iconic like his hip cannons; Metroplex was only missing a few mini robots that most people forgot even existed.

With these stand alone Headmasters in the TR line, does anyone think a 3P is going to make bodies for them? That would be the ultimate upgrade kit

Well, how many people do you think are waiting for a PE Fortress Maximus to use their Warden with?
