A version of this for Magnus (and a kit that gives him ankle articulation and better hands without ruining the car carrier functionality) would make me actually consider buying that toy. PE, if you're watching this thread, DO EET.

Well, I might have to get CW UM now. This fixes my main complaint with him (Minimus Ambus). Though I will say I wish there was an upgrade that gave him better hands and feet without making his vehicle mode's car carrier function less effective.

That UM is just beautiful! Regardless of replacing the cab, I kinda want this.... Decisions, decisions... (There is no preorder up at BBTS yet...)
I am getting the other add-on, so I can let you know if it still works with the TR head.

That's a pretty good price, all things considered. The pictures show it to be as good as any other third party figure of the same general size, and then of course it combines with Magnus and Ginrai if you want. Not the worst deal.

Man. I was not interested in these Primes to begin with, but whitey has swayed me. But not on the idea of replacing the stock cab of the trucks. I'm get these, but have them as stand alone's. I like having dudes posed side by side with the super modes (like my MP Magni) so now I'm totally down

Well.... they delivered a Magnus cab robot after all. it's slightly inaccurate because it's based on the Ginrai design so it has a faux-cab chest, but I doubt there's anything better coming along. I'm sold!

I dont get it. Wasnt the whole point of this ultra magnus mold to get rid of the damn white prime so he can have a cartoon accurate transformation? Why would someone wanna bring it back? For that just buy city commander which is dirt cheap on ebay. At least the one for prime makes sense in terms of accuracy.

Some people like the extra playability or toy accuracy it provides and prefer the look or lack-of-partsforming of this Ultra Magnus to the city commander armour.

There's already the new masterpiece line for dumb cartoon accuracy, let's us enjoy toy accuracy at least on one line.

And who's selling FP's City Commander "dirt cheap?" The last time I saw it for less than $60 (i.e. this new PE figure's price), it was a scam seller.

Wait, sorry my bad. If people simply ignored stuff they didn't like then the internet would be pretty empty. And we can't have that.

Also, just to be nitpicky; I don't think the point was to give him a "cartoon-accurate transformation" when CW Ultra Magnus is entirely based on his IDW MTMTE counterpart -- right down to Minimus Ambus.
I don't see the problem with this at all. It's a nice option for people who liked the original toy, the basic concept and/or those few Dreamwave pages and just in general adds some playability -- not to mention it's an easy and obvious redeco. Not my thing since to me Minimus Ambus is Ultra Magnus, but for others who like this; it's friggin' awesome.

Minimus Ambus is Ultra Magnus now, but before him there were others. And before them there was an actual Ultra Magnus... voiced by Robert Stack.

Tonight, on "Unsolved Mysteries."

Still got a few problems myself, but this fixes up a lot of them both visually and functionally. You just know it's gonna cost a fortune though...

Yup, Super Ginrai had a sword in the show because... well, let's face it, because swords are **** cool.
Pretty sure the original is more accurate though. This one seems to follow the common Perfect Effect trend of not being accurate but trying to look as over the top cool as possible. Kinda works to me!
