I will be very happy to acquire the Generations version. Henkei has some true winners compared to the Hasbro iterations, but not in this case. And not in the case of Thrust either. I am very happy with what Hasbro is doing with these.

OK... so I DID buy all the Henkei coneheads, from Starscream to ghost Starscream and all the Henkei seeker molds in between. And I too have to admit, the colors on this version of Dirge do look better than the ones on my expensive Henkei version. The same is true for Generations Thrust compared to Henkei Thrust, by the way...
Anyhow, I feel this is great news: my Henkei seekers can all stay MOSC, while these Generations versions are excellent for displaying!

It was the one shown at SDCC, not BotCon. To me, it always looked like the test-shot face melting shenanigans they like to pull.

Oh man, the Generations Dirge makes the Takara release look like poop. That's a switch.

Anyway, I may pick this guy up even though I got the Botcon one years back. Dare I say, I may like this one better than Botcon due to the new wing design?! *gasp!* Should I sell my Botcon Dirge???? :-?

Wow! A rare event indeed, Hasbro topped Takara! Generations Dirge is indeed a better representation of the character than Henkei. Hurray for less-money-for-the-best-version!

Not quite so rare. Hasbro's Animated is far better IMO. Hasbro's MP seekers have been nicer as well without having to apply stickers to things as a plus. They get it right nearly as often as Takara. Nearly.

I have to agree with you on this. It isn't as rare as people make it out to be.
