For anybody interested the Family Dollars here have those Legends figures in the updated packaging that the site posted about. Picked up Bee, Optimus, and Starscream from the Family Dollar on Bells Ferry Road in Kennesaw/Acworth. They were $6.25 each and I left one set. I also got a $3 coupon off of a purchase of $15 or more to use after 3/15 so I may look to find another set to keep sealed.


Also bought Whirl off Ebay for $35 shipped. I was getting a little scared that he would never show up retail due to Movie Toys hitting. It's not as bad as paying BBTS $50 plus shipping for him with Rhinox when I don't really want Rhinox.

If I was reading the info properly It's only like $6 bucks to get into right? For that I would go just to check it out.

The greater Atlanta Toy Convention was ok. It was 85 % GI joes and 25% everything else. Lots of old school vintage toys. One vendor had nothing but transformers which was really cool. He had carded G1 stuff and lots of loose but complete stuff too. I don't regret going to it but I doubt I go again. The things I was looking for and found were ridiculously over priced and I have better chances on eBay. I am also not one that takes kindly to pushy folks interrogating me on my interests and trying to cut deals with me on **** I obviously have no interest in. Whatever...they have to chase that buck I guess.

I stopped at the TRU @ Lenox to see what they had. They have a few MP acid storms, 2 Platinum Starscreams and also 1 YOTH prime. If interested in the prime, he is on the bottom shelf in the transformers aisle conveniently stashed behind an out of place book bag (left him where I found him).

Severa, are you talking about Joelanta that took place last weekend? If not, the recent Joelanta may explain the prevalence of GI Joes...

Never mind - I see now that apparently it's the same thing http://joelanta.org/. So just so everyone knows, this is actually a GI Joe convention to which they've tacked on a broader theme to attract more folks. Of course when I bite on ebay for Generations Whirl he shows up for retail.

So I'm glad I waited! I got an email from HTS yesterday for 20% off and free shipping! I just ordered the upscaled voyager Predaking for $16.95 total. The code is "friend14" and is valid until 4/7/2014. I recommend using this to pick up any figures you're hunting because it's a pretty good deal!

I subscribe to a t-shirt site called Teefury.com. It's a site that makes shirts available for one day with artist prints. The designs cover all sorts of themes and mash ups. Today's shirt is Grimzilla. It's a mash up between Grimlock and Godzilla and available for 11 dollars today only.

Just thought some of you might get a kick out of it.

Thanks for the heads up but this code didn't work for me. Don't know if it changed but I did a quick search and found one "Family14" that worked for me. Got Doubledealer for just about $16 bucks shipped. Not Bad

So back to the beast hunters cyberverse ultra magnus I have found a few on ebay but there like anywhere form $ 50 to $78 but the interesting thing is people are posting that he is no canclled anyone else heard anything like this ? Or had anyone seen any around the metro atlanta area ?

I'm almost positive I saw that figure somewhere at one point because I considered buying it to stand in for a G1 Magnus with Metroplex. I really don't check BH product all the time though since I stopped with the original Prime Figures. $50 to $78 is Ludacris though. If it truly is cancelled my bet is it will end up in 5-Below, TJ Maxx, or ROSS soon enough. I went thru this a few years back with Scout Class Windcharger from the Generations line. Instead of paying plus $70 I waited and checked the forums and finally found him for $5 bucks in the discount stores.

Just so happen i went to the candian tru website and they have it in stock but they dont ship to the US so I was unable to get one but at least at this point its not cancelled. Do you remeber where you thought you saw it ?

I'm pretty sure it was Cumberland TRU because I remember seeing Generations Wasp then once and never again. My area seems to be funny like that. See a rare gem once and never again but you never see the things you need that everyone else has an abundance of. Do you have a link to the Canadian Website to make sure we're talking about the same fig?

and unless I'm mistaken that was it however I'm about 50 to 75 percent sure of it being the TRU. Checked the Barrett TRU and did not see it there. Don't see it on BBTS either. I'll keep up the search though.

Yep thats the one I saw on their site. Yea I was over buy tru in off barrett today to and thougth about stoping but i knew thery wouldnt have it so i just cruzed right on by haha. I really apprcitate you looking though.

Tucker TRU had Whirl and Doubledealer as of last Friday. I bought the lone Whirl, but left Doubledealer.

Anyone seen the Platinum Grimlock vs Bruticus pack at any TRU stores lately? I recently sold off my Fansproject Bruticus and now find myself longing for a replacement.

For those of you not familiar with the Detolf, it is a glass display cabinet that Ikea sells for 65 dollars. I have 4 of them displaying my collection. I have been wanting a 5th but Ikea has been sold out of them / over sold since last November.

Just wanted to let y'all know that the Atlanta Ikea currently has 18 in stock if interested.

None of them come with lights, but, ikea sells numerous lighting options. I used to buy their dioder LED bars but they changed up the model and are no longer bright white. Now, they have a yellow tinge to their "bright white" bars and cast yellow light onto your display. Trust me on this. Even if you go to ikea and look at the bright white dioder, it may not look like its yellow, but after you install them, you'll see it.
A lot of guys are getting the LED pucks for them(not the ones that run on battery, but the plug in kind)I can't remember their name though. They do cast a bright white. I highly recommend research on the lights before purchasing.

My friend has a sedan and he got his home. He had to lay his back seat down and load through his trunk.

ALL Beast Hunters figures appear to be on clearance at Target. Looks like room is being made for Movie figures. Deluxes about $6.50, Voyagers between $10 and $12.
