Give a generic female a computer and suddenly she's Dial-Tone, eh?

No more like, slap Helix's head with brown hair on a Scarlett body, and say there you go to all the people who thought Helix was suppose to be Resolute Dial-Tone.

Better yet, slap 5 generic bodies into one box, give them 'classic' character names so fans feel compelled to by it, ???, and finally, PROFIT!

I saw a Sgt. Stone toy today and was tempted to buy it, save for the fact that he looks very much unlike Brendan Fraser...

What set is that? Me gotta get one. By the way Sgt. Stone is not Brendon Fraiser. I think his character's name is Sgt. Bushwacker or something.

1) It's one of the 2 exclusive 'troop builder' packs.
2) Frasier IS Stone. He's drives in on that 3-wheeler 'zomg-can-dis-be--moovee-ravage?' thing and watches Ray Park beat up a guy. It was nice.

Then who is the character/figure named Craig S. McConell that isn't Rock and Roll and comes with a chainsaw?

It's where Hasbro and the director didn't bother to talk to each other.

In the movie Brendan plays the character of Stone.

For the figures, they just planned a generic figure called Stone (might as well be Flint) and when they found out about the cameo made a figure based on Brendan named Bench Press (Craig S. McConnell formerly the name of Rock n Roll) who is supposed to be the descendant (grand-son?) of Mummy fighter Rick O'Connell.

It's not. Here's the simplified version.

"Stone" = ROC Flint w/vest and SMG instead of shotgun shell harness and boomstick
"Bench Press" = Frankenjoe with Clutch's head, Rock N Roll's name and a freaking chainsaw for the lulz.

'Nuff said.

If you're looking for a Brendan Frasier figure, check to see if they made any The Mummy figures and get one of those. Besides, even if they made a movie Joe based on him, you KNOW the head would be off - just ask Madame Web as the 'Baroness' or Trap-Jaw as 'Cover Girl'!

I wonder who wrote the action force comics because even they are messed up, I went up to Yo joe where they have pretty good archive of joe comics from the past and wow the writing was bad and I don't think it was on purpose. Also tonight I caught a rerun of robot chicken were they had destro as used car salesman and soundwave a porta potty and they also threw a few he-man jokes in as well as thundercats man that show does have it clever moments. As far as the movie toys go there hit and miss some are great and some do suck, that is why I pick and choose what I buy. As far as the whole Brendan Frasier thing goes it was like what 2 or 3 min guest shot so why does he even need a figure in the movie line.

Now now, what actresses have to do to get movie parts is none of our business.

I think you hit the nail on the head about the heads of figures. Hasbro wants to be able to use them again in the future so they had to make them look off. I guess they felt movie Baroness looked to much like Sienna Miller to use her on the convention set.

I wasn't talking about the actress, I just meant that the facial sculpt is way off and doesn't even look feminine.

Personally when I saw Cover Girl I thought of WWE Diva Beth Phoenix.

ahem.

Beyond that if anyone didn't notice BBTS is doing a clearout of a lot of their 25th Figures. Quite a few for between $4-5 available. You need to see the page for the item to see the true sale cost, the catalog pages aren't showing the extra 25% off.

My POL just got a bit larger.

Doesn't seem as blocky as a Cyclone, and not as sleek as a Moto-Slave, but still very very sweet. I hope that the figure is dependent to the armor mode as I'll want to play around with that (re: turn it Cobra like everything else)

And in that bend in my next batch of picture if I post any more, Shipwreck has joined Cobra. (at least within my collection.)

BGC Moto-slave, MOSPEADA (Robotech Cyclone)... I don't care, I'm just so friggin' excited to see this. I LOVE variable bikes. To see a Hasbro-made one is just awesome. Reasonable price, and good build quality.
The bike mode looks gorgeous; probably based on a Confederate Wraith. The armor mode... eh... looks pretty bad actually in these pics, kind of like some of the Power Rangers stuff out there, but hopefully this will look a lot better in person and in production.

And another joke has died. I was going to make a crack about what 25th figures BBTS has but they have a nice selection, especially of troop builders. If you like the PP Segies, basic trooper, or para viper you'll be in heaven. Eels are still pricy. Just realized. Artic Snake Eyes was supposed to come with two swords, wonder why the change.

Sorry 'bout your joke, chuck.

I was at a comic shop today and picked up a loose complete 7-pack Outback. Pop the head and vest onto Stone, instant ROC Outback. The beige vest fits well and doesn't really detract from the military colours, and the head has a black headband.

Anyway, Stone's keeping the vest until I get another Flint to make a movie Flint, and I'll use Outback for custom fodder. Use that head on that upcoming movie jungle duke and you'll get a Snake Eater Solid Snake figure. Metal Joe Solid: Cobra Eater.

I wasn't even going to pick up stone, but I did when I was able to grab the 4 free figures from wal-mart.

His vest is currently on a franken-joe made up the nitro-viper body and sporting a regular Viper helmet.
His head is on the body of a comic pack Viper.
His body was used for an experiment to see what effect a black sharpie would have on the gray camo. Long story short it left a metalic copper/purple color, which led to the entire camo being covered. He is currently posed with ROC Scrap-Iron's (Acrap-Iron)head. My GF dubbed him Captain Fabulous and I can't do much more with those parts until the novelty has worn off.

The comic pack dreads were terrible. Torch couldn't bend his arm to 90 and Ripper had a bad hand that couldn't hold anything.
