It's the Sting Raider. And yes, the original Lamprey was the Hydrofoil pilot.

Ok stupid question time, on jet pack Duke from the resolute 5-pack the parachute fanny pack thing does it face the front or back?

It faces either. The pack is removable, so you can have it facing the front or back.

Ya know, I don't have the time to give my opinion on all these new figures, but a lot of them are quite good. However, I must say Monkeywrench is easily one of the worst new-style figures I've seen. The head just doesn't work.

I'm also pretty disappointed with how inaccurate the Range Viper is. The Range Viper is one of my favorite Cobras, and by far my favorite Viper, so this update is pretty underwhelming.

I'm now really looking forward to these seven packs just because they seem to have some really interesting figures in them. The joe I wish they would do is low light he is one of my favorite characters.

I've heard that low-light might be snuck into a movie wave down the line. I know he was done in the DTC line.

Quick question if anyone here has been modding figs.

I'm thinking about trying to swap parts from 2 storm shadow figs to make one I am happier with. I haven't taken apart a joe figure in years so I'm wondering if modders have found it easier to work with the newer style of figure, or if there are any pitfalls I should know about in advance.

Its a little bit harder with the new figs since you have to pry the torso apart then glue it back together when finished. Other than that the amout of parts you can swap compared to older figs is amazing.

cool, any inner tabs, workings or anything to be concerned about while prying? Any glue vs plastics concerns?

There's a thin post in the upper torso that will break other than that just be carefull not to loose the little white plugs when you take the legs apart.

If I had to choose a team, I'd say ECO WARRIORS AND THE DRUG ELIMINATION FORCE!!
Just kidding. How about Night Force? They were really badass and had some great vehicles. Or Slaughter's Marauders. It's like Tiger Force, only without the suck.

The marauders were cool because they could all do the Cobra clutch, the official hold of GI Joe.

So any thoughts on Resolute? Here's mine;

No lasers- OK, but they basically were shooting like the old days. Duke, Scarlet, and SE should've been bullet ridden several times over.

No parachutes- OK, but we'll send a zip line down a hole that realisticaly no person should be able to fit through. Also when is Scarlet's courtmarshal for disobeying the direct order of a senior officer?

More believable- Sure, CC survived the blast of a particle beam cannon, which by the way, does that exist yet?

It was a good show but if they were going to make these claims, which in truth were more like shots at folks my age, they should've backed them up. If you want military reality then the story should've been about the 6 months of debate over whether or not to give in to Cobra or respond. All the while the Joe team wouldn't be able to do anything since they have to answer to the Federal govt.

Now for something lighter:

Serpentor: Arise Serpentor, Arise. Arise Serpentor ARISE! Dr. Mindbender, the pills aren't working and I need to take care of business.

Dr. Mindbender: Ah, yes, Serpentor. As I told Destro the pills take 4-6 hours to work.

Serpentor: What! This is unexceptable! This will not do. I am Serpentor and you must work; THIS I COMMAND!!!!!

Token female Viper: I don't think yelling at it works sweetie.

Serpentor brakes the womans neck mumbling to himself something about getting the brains of Alexander but the balls of Alfred E. Newman.

Well I heard from Hasbro today and after an almost 12 month delay in 7 to 10 days I'll be getting my Doc's. Not sure which ones but I assume it's going to be V.2. So has anyone seen the SDCC Joe exclusives? My friend had a bad experience last year and isn't getting any of them so I'll have to hunt E-bay. No word on variants if any...

I thought g.i joe resolute was o.k. the one thing you forgot mention as being unbeleaveable was however many move kill snake eyes used on storm shadow and how scarlet and duke for the most part dodged zartan's grenade rifle fire.

Well that SE/SS thing was kinda cool. The seven steps thing isn't that unbelievable if you know about pressure points. What was unbelievable was SE puting SS sword through his hand and not screaming like a bitch. I'm sorry damaged tounge and all a sword through the hand=screaming like a bitch.

Not to mention that he can't talk. It's a bit more than a 'damaged tongue.' It's damaged/severed vocal chords. :-B Heck, in the Resolute continuity, it's a bullet through his throat.

o.k. point taken on the whole snake eyes vs storm shadow fight. But what about the whole dodging of zartan grenade luncher that is impossible consider how close to the explosing they were at the very least you would be knocked out from the blast and not able to move.

It was through the throat? I thought it was in the mouth and through the tongue which allowed me to create one hell of a routine about why Scarlet chose Duke over him. Discipline or not, that shits gotta hurt like a mofo. And how in the hell later in the day is he able to hold a gun? Now Zartan, was that a grenade launcher? I've never seen them that small. Maybe if everything wasn't drawn so dark ya know?

Looks like it. There's blood coming out of his mouth after, but the main stain spreads from the throat area.

I think this page might offer some explanation. :-B

It might have just been some kind of multi-ordinance launcher that he happened to have loaded with explosive rounds. Heck, if the guy's able to find gadgetry that'll make him invisible, I'm pretty sure he can find a miniature rocket launcher somewhere!
