The Megatron listing has been updated on Amazon with a delivery date for this Friday. The question now becomes does Bumblebee's date change too?

No change in Canada but until now there was never a Bee listing at Amazon.ca for some reasons.

Got a shipping notice from Gamestop.ca today.

I know Megatron's not as good as he could have / should have been. But I'm excited. I got a Walmart retro Cobra Commander to go inside of him some time ago. I'm ready.

I needed to change the payment so I had to cancel and reorder Megs, the delivery date is now October 15th.

My Gamestop order still says January and I don't expect that to change. Pre-ordering through GS has been a terrible experience that I don't plan on repeating again no matter what sort of sale they put on. My Legacy Laser Prime was due July 1 and didn't ship until August 23, my Studio Series Sludge was due August 1 and still hasn't shipped ("awaiting product availability") so I'll probably get my Megatron in March.

Just realized Bumblebee is due November 1 on Amazon, has he always had that date, I thought that was due next year?

Opened this guy up a few days ago. I'm glad I knew what to expect, if I went in blind I think I'd have been disappointed. But, knowing what to expect means my expectations were managed and I'm happy with what I have.

Could he have been better? Oh, yes, absolutely. But I'm still glad this guy exists and that I have him as part of my collection. A few of the latest crossovers don't land as hard as the first two did. Here, at least, we have a crossover that makes sense even if it's more aimed at Joes than TFs. It still doesn't land as hard as those first two due to execution, but at least the chosen franchises do.

This is a toy that's 40 years in the making. Growing up I always wondered how the Autobots would or could help the GI Joes against Cobra and then I would wonder if the Decepticons with Cobra could be the ultimate threat to the world. Sure there were playground rumors and as an adult, there were shrugs and the occasional I don't know from those in power, but we never got the ultimate crossover. Sure, there have been a few winks, nods, and SDCC sets over the years but finally here is the first, official, toy-based, non-convention exclusive, GI Joe/Transformers crossover. It makes sense for Megatron to be a HISS tank, as that's a form that can contain the sheer power of Megatron. Transformation really isn't that difficult and the resulting HISS tank really, really looks good, without the fusion cannon I would say it looks exactly like the classic Cobra machine. The Baroness is an excellent addition, and while I could think of a few other selections, it makes sense for her to be included with Megs. The price might be a little off-putting but there is a chance Megs might end up on sale at some point, but for me, the price was totally worth it.

Cute, but no. I can't do hollow-formers this extremely hollow anymore.
I mean, even his fusion cannon is severed in two!
Good Megatron head, good Baroness figure, good HISS tank. But that's all.

Well, just canceled my Bumblebee order on Amazon. I can only handle so many things coming in months early and the Shattered Glass figures were more of a priority. I'm sure I can get it on sale next year in place of all the 2023 stuff that came early.

I'm hoping Bee ends up on one of those keep sale prices on amazon or something next year, I might get it then, but otherwise no regret that I was passing, especially coming this early

Beachcomber as a character wouldn't have worked given his nature, far better to use a character like landmine if you had to absolutely match alt.

Bumblebee and Stalker just arrived. While I love HISS Megatron, I do not feel that emotion for Bee. I don't know what I feel yet. It is definitely a Striker that turns into a robot, but it's not as fun in either mode. I haven't done anything other than transform him once, so he may yet grow on me, but he's not nearly as cool as Megatron.

My Bee came in today and I've been messing around with it. In anticipation of this release I got a retro Snake Eyes to replace Stalker as I like the look of the new figures better. But the holes on his feet are significantly smaller than the pegs around the figure, so he can't do the human alliance thing. Oh well.

BB is okay. That grille on the back is just in the way at all times in robot mode. I think they could have made some of it on hinges to try and mitigate the backpack. But that's not what they did. No regrets, though. I'm glad I got him. But they shouldn't let the Joe team design TFs.

I noticed the Pulse sale now includes the Megatron and Bee. I almost went in on Bee, but he just doesn't look good enough for just 25% off to me.

That Bee is at my local geek store and 100$CAN is way, WAY too expensive for that Kibble X-Mass tree.
