Anyway, here's a shot with all his killamajigs, showing the smokestack gun. This'll probably be the last shot, untill I'm finish with him.

You know, somehow, that's given me an idea for mine, too. Although I'm not going to be sacrificing the original vane, since I'm already using that for Motormaster and Menasor's gun. But I think I may actually be able to store all that extra gubbinry in truck mode after all...

To get the original toys relative proportions yes. But I want the bot modes to be closer in size. Motormaster will be taller, but not huge compared to his limb bots. His trailer will act as added bulk and such to give him the extra size he needs in combined mode. Of course at this point the only one I have anywhere close to done is Dragstrip. Not much time.
And to stay on topic, this definately my favorite incarnation of your character Greyryder. He's heavily armed without looking overally bulky, love the sword and the back the gun, the shorter stacks look great in both modes. And is that smoke marks on the tips, or jsut the lighting? Also how did you mod the head to get teh extra articulation in the neck?

I sprayed the ends of the stacks with a color called Jet Exhaust, to dirty them up a bit.
The head now sits on T-bar made from styrene tubing. It fits into channels on either side of the head, that the back of the head slides into. I'm not sure why Hasbro made the head that way, but it made things easier for me. You end up loosing the screw hole, that way. But, there's a peg higher up that could be drilled out to relocate the screw, do long as you're not planning to hack up the head as badly as I did.

Well, it wasn't the original toys' relative size I was even thinking about. I was talkin gmore from a functionality stand point, as well as overall appearance. Also, given that Motormaster was a semi, he really would be much larger than his subordinates, who were sports cars. That is another reason why Cybertron prime would be a better choice. Not only that, but it would differentiate him from Classics Optimus even more because of the completely different transformation. It also already has combiner points built in.

Actually, his helmet is roughly based on a wolf's head head dress.
No. The sword doesn't store in vehicle mode.
