I've had some difficulty transforming the DOTM Leader Sentinel Prime. The top of the fire truck could not fit due to me breaking the peg on the fire truck's side. Also, for some reason, a piece of the truck on the side that's pegged next to the doors is bending.

I have a hard time getting him all fitted together nicely. His basic transformation isn't too bad, but getting the panels to stay in their places is a different story.

The hardest transformer toy i own ever transformed:
Movie voyager megatron; connecting the left arm with the right arm is impossible
Movie voyager blackout; i can't transform it until i discovered the waist is supposed to spin
Animated optimus deluxe cybertron mode; many transfoming techniques undiscovered almost 6 years after buying
Animated prowl; don't understand how to transform
Rotf mixmaster; complicated
Rotf rampage; connecting the rubber thread is difficult
Rotf scalpel; legs already broken when bought
Rotf the fallen; hard
Aoe voyager drift: instructions hard to understand
Aoe voyager grimlock: unclear instructions

That's about it

I think the deluxe ROTF Skids and Mudflap are the most difficult and frustrating to transform. I've always had trouble getting their vehicle modes to fit tightly.

Battle Blades Optimus Prime from RotF-Hunt for the Decepticons line. Even when i have the instructions can't seem to transform him into truck mode. His robot mode looks good but i sometimes seriously consider getting rid him by trading or selling due to the ammount of difficulty he causes for me every time i give him a go. :BOOM:

Thanks for the advice it definitely worked. Only problems that the front half of the vehicle has a hard time fitting together smoothly and the clips that the cannons plug into aren't very stable and cant seem to hold them securely, the smallest tugs can knock the loose.
He's still gonna stay a long time in vehicle mode, that optimus of mine is so stiff that transforming him can be a less than enjoyable major hassle :HEADHURTS:

I transformed ROTF voyager Mixmaster back in truck mode recently. I only did it once, from truck to bot. Going from Bot to truck was quite the challenge! Mainly because the bot is SO different from the truck, I didnd had many clues as to what goes where. It took me a good half an hour to figure it out. I succeeded and it was very satisfying. But man, I cant immagine little Timmy playing with ROTF voyager Mixmaster and having any fun.

One wonder why the instant-transformation TFs are such a thing since AoE.

They used the same principle of instant transformations, and they weren't the first by far. We've had:

- RiD Flipchangers/MW Basics
- 1st-year BW Basics

...and even:

- G1 Battlechargers
- G1 Jumpstarters

But the One-Steps did gain ground with AoE promoting the gimmick and diversifying the transformation methods.

Yeah I guess the marketting push did make a big difference.

However, I dont consider them the same camp as the beast wars basics and even the G1 toys because in all those cases it wasnt a simpler version of a character available in a more complex class. Basic Rattrap and Terrorsaur are the legitimate versions of those toys in that toyline. To me, they are far more akin to the scout class that emerged in Energon where you had show characters that were as detailed at the bigger toys and with as much articulation, but at a small and (maybe simpler) transforming class.

Hell no. Take Activator Animated Bumblebee for example. Activating only do one step of transformation via auto-morph. You still have to straighten the arm and legs and put them in position. The figure itself is very posable. To turn back into vehicle mode, the transformatiojn is more akin to a normal Scout than any "1 steps".

Most of the "little kid" Transformers, like the Rescue Bots and Playskool Go-Bots, also do this, as do the two different varieties of Movieverse Activators, among others.

And if you expand to include automatic but not instant, there's things like the Autorollers and Armada Prime's trailer.

Yeah, and each and everyone of them have a very "alien" robot form. From vehicle to robot, it's not too bad if you know what the robot is supposed to look like. However, from robot to vehicle, you must be a master at Transformers Origami. Especially without instructions!

I did Mixmaster lately and I only transformed it once from vehicle to robot more than a year ago. Let me tell you that figuring out how to put the bot back to vehicle was almost like a zen-like shaolin yoga-meditation! :YINYANG:

Demolishor is easy to transform.

Rampage though? He literally turns inside out.
