When did you say that? Also, I dont understand the question, the price tag of this set is as cheap as just 1 3p dinobot. Have fun spending 500$ on your dinos, I will just buy this at 100$ or less depending on the discount TRU gives.
Perhaps I said it on another board, so pardon me if that makes no sense. And that's basically what I meant is whether this will be cheaper than going in the 3P direction, cuz these look passable enough to me.

It looks like they don't often want to make the repaints new characters though unfortunately.
-Kanrabat- wrote:Having the whole fruity Dino set, plus Leader Grimlock, I don't feel the need to doubledip. Also, I really liked the "Knights" theme for the AOE Dinobots so having the G1 heads on these bodies is kinda pointless for me. Seriously, they could have made an extensive remolds for each of these bots to give them a less squeletal and more classic look. Sure, it would mean greater cost, but still less expensive than designing new toys from scratch.

Trypticon was confirmed for Target (Canada has no sign of it either) and I think the dinobots should be TRU for you guys too.

I'm more worried about Perceptor and Blaster. They should be out by now but the Star Wars stuff took over a fourth of the boys action figures section at Target. Hopefully the gender neutral organization will give some space back to Transformers once it goes into effect.

Yeah, its confirmed they still are.
I don't know about the trademark situation with "Sludge" and "Swoop", but Hasbro does have a penchant for reusing names as much as possible for the same figures not only for instant recognition, but also to avoid having to register new ones for "just a few" toys. They're like redecos in that sense
And those are the ones I really want, all for new heads. I'm curious, how much is the original SDCC set going for on the aftermarket, as well as G1 deco Slog?
