Another Siege Megatron? NOOOOOOOOOOO! How many of these figures must remain unsold before Hasbro gets the message that we want something better?
Anyhoo, thoughts: The colors look OK, and the new wings/canopy look clever in helping to conceal the old H-treads. But - they're STILL there. It doesn't help that the robot thighs are completely exposed. This makes me think that the entire front section of the alt mode is going to flop around a lot, unless they engineered some way to keep the robot hip joints from moving. Otherwise - that cockpit will suffer from severe drooping (don't snicker, Crow).
The robot mode looks a little encumbered by all the extra accessories, but otherwise, Siege Megatron was always OK in robot mode. The lack of feet that tilt forward on WFC figures always bugged me though, especially with this mold. Ditto for the hands which just won't fold out all the way.
Passing on this one - unless it winds up on discount.

looks like they will. There's a 5mm peg on both the sides and the tops of the wings, the side ones are for the spaceship configuration and the tops for the way they're oriented in robot mode.
Yeah, it wasn’t until a little while after I posted that I saw the wings require partsforming. Oh well, still going to keep my preorder. Also worth noting is they did seem to include the original sword, meaning that there is the option to retain the mold’s tank mode so that’s nice, unless there’s more extensive retooling that isn’t seen. Either way, I’ll be displaying him in robot mode like everything else I own. I hope they do some similar “close enough” efforts for the remainder of this subline, even if they don’t require it that badly (who’s left that was rumored; Goldbug, Starscream and Jetfire right?)

Literally siege megs with add ons. Looks good. You can tell the cockpit is parts forming and is probably a shield in bot mode. Just wish they did something to hide the thighs even if it was a parts forming piece

Hi Mega McDuckFace! That shield/cockpit addon just gives me that vibe!
Not getting it, especially with its shipping cost to Canada and higher price. I've got my junked TF:P Arachnid to repurpose for the wings and use the original Siege's Meg sword to convert into the cockpit (by adding a few pieces of Lego) to make my own SG Meg whenever I feel like repainting my Siege Meg. That'll also give me reason to get the more G1-looking Earthrise Meg.
And this is more of a TF:P Megatron alt-mode wannabe than an re-imagined original figure, albeit a good looking one.

So it looks like that cockpit piece that forms a shield is what will be holding the legs together. Lose the piece and the legs will just flap in the breeze. I still ordered it.

Keep in mind in regards to pricing that there is a pack in comic driving the price up. The markup on megs is also less than the one on blurr, at least in america. +$7 instead of +$10.
In regards to the altmode, I'm disappointed by the visible leg syndrome, but not enough to cancel out the hype. Probably going to try and fanmode it into a G1-ification of the rotf tankjet, depending on alternate attachment points for the canopy.

This is like the wish.com version of Shattered Glass Megatron. Would have gladly paid double and had them use the Super Megatron tooling with a new head and maybe the new wing pieces. I get what they did and some parts of this are really clever, but it screams "keep the cost down" very loudly.

Say, any chance someone who has this mold already could post what it looks like if you peg the fusion cannon and tank turret into those ports on the top of his back kibble, since those weapons are painted on this release to match the original SG Megatron's shoulder cannons?
I think it's technically the same markup, since Hasbro seems to be trying a second time to push Deluxes up to being $23 between their Pulse listings for Kingdom Wave 3 and Netflix Wave 3. I sure hope so, I really want to believe that "Galvatron Unicron" from the Amazon AU listing is Energon (Unicron Trilogy) Galvatron since it's sold at a higher price than other Leaders on there. Can't really see how it would work since he hides a lot of his peg holes between modes.

I've honestly never seen this mold shelf warm, but he's never been well stocked in my area. The 35th version and ER version weren't sold in my area, had to get those online. The Siege and Netflix versions always sold well. I honestly can't say I've seen any Transformer from any brand shelf warm since the first two Deluxe waves of Titans Return.
Back to the figure, I really wish they had used the alternate miner head, would have been more accurate and a little less evil looking.
At least with this figure I have a reason to stick the sword in the canon.

I did it many time with my customs. I didn't knew Hasbro would do the same. This give me some ideas. If I find a Siege Megatron for cheap, I'll customise it into his IDW driller form.

I think it's really weird that I can actually order this. With Pulse, I'm used to it being sold out within minutes. I'm rarely ever able to get a pre-order in. I hope Starscream & Jetfire are as easy.
Are they revealing these every Tuesday? I forgot when they revealed Blurr. Was it last Tuesday? Are they following a schedule? I can't wait to see Jetfire.
