Nemesis Reformatted wrote:I was just looking at SG Megatron & Starscream & damn! We really need Soundwave too. I mean look at their colors, the base color is white on all 3. I NEED SG Soundwave! Now do I wait to see if they eventually make him or do I try to customize one?
What is the plan for this new SG line? Did they ever mention that it will continue with more waves?
And here is another question. Gnaw, Wreck-Gar & Slag have already sold out on Pulse. But none of the Shattered Glass have. Does that mean they're not selling well? Or does it mean they're gonna have a lot more because it's their exclusive? I love this line, except for Blurr & don't want it to fail. I hope it keeps going.

I did. Still doesn't answer why its him, and not an actual Megs. Transmetal 2 Megs for example would have been suitable.
Transmetal 2 Megs is red, though.william-james88 wrote:Overcracker wrote:Sabrblade wrote:See one post above yours.Overcracker wrote:Awesome, interesting that he summons T-Wrecks rather than Megs.

You wouldn't get the rainbow effect, it's a megs for every colour.

The skull/ghost face is pretty cool

Are you talking about the bludgeon mold? I see a purple con symbol, so I thought it was an Overlord redco from club fiction. Honestly i have no idea what's going on here.

SG Goldbug was based on Cybertron Hot Shot, who had plenty of cues from Hot Rod:
Transformers Convention & Club Exclusives Goldbug Gallery
SS86 Hot Rod retool anyone?
he appears to be a redecco of Cliffjumper with a new blue goldbug head with red eyes. Body colours are black and gold, with transparent blue windows on the car body.
He has the same weapons as Cliffjumper/Bumblebee

The very last comic from Fun Pub introduced a whole new multiverse of Shattered Glass worlds never seen before. One of which was a SG version of the G1 cartoon in which Megatron was indeed a recolor of his G1 cartoon look.Gauntlet101010 wrote:I have to say, I'm kinda sad that they aren't finding new molds for these characters to use. I know it was a necessity at the time, but I thought it was kinda cool. SG Goldbug and Megatron have very different looks than their G1 selves.
Some Shattered Glass guys don't even have a swapped color scheme, like Jazz and Galvatron.

Well, that's Hasbro's current brand consistency for ya, I'm afraid. Gotta maintain that evergreen iconography for purposes of marketing and recognition.Gauntlet101010 wrote:That alternate SG Megs illustrates what I mean. That could easily be Marvel Comics Megatron. It just doesn't work as well. A different body type may have worked better.
A 1:1 mirror universe has it's merits. I'm just saying I miss the innovation in mold choices.

No Hot Rod retool for you!
This just in:
