Not sure how interesting it would be to others, but I would be curious to hear how Hasbro determines the (often times ridiculous) conversion ratings. It appears they base it on size, in which case what's the point; why call it a conversion rating? There are deluxe class figures worthy of 4s and supreme class worthy of 2s (I'm looking at you, Devastator.) Seems these things could be a lot more accurate and helpful.

I would like to second this one. I'm sure others would agree. I don't know about anyone else, but I hate anticipation.

Might be a good question that people are interested in hearing the answer to, but somehow I envision not getting a very informative answer, but rather some lawyer speak along the lines of "we'll let you know as soon as we can."

Also, often there are revisions that happen up to the last few days before initial production(and during production for that matter) so Hasbro may want to stay its hand on providing info before getting more solid development underway. So we may get a brief description at best, which will make us crazy for more info.

I personally hope that the next series gets the "Resolute" treatment and have someone like Warren Ellis work on the plot. Oh, to dream... :D

Weapon: Light-Saber Sword
1. Is there any plans to release Jazz in the Human Alliance line or the Universe Classic line?

2. Are we going to get a release of Universe Red Alert in the U.S.?

3. Scale has always been an issue with me in the lines. Examples: Classics Starscream, he's a big jet and his figure is one of the smallest classics. I don't think car robots should be bigger than jet robots. ROTF Demolisher and Blackout is another example. With that said are there any plans to take size into consideration more in futures releases?

Thanks

It's not toy specific, more like the "average" difficulty of the size class. Larger figures tend to be more complex with more moving parts (exceptions notwithstanding), so rather than give each single toy a rating (and give the developers a headache), the class as a whole gets one. Besides, it's relative and shouldn't be that much of a deal to the casual fan.

1)The movie release Human Alliance finally gave us human characters properlt interacting with Transformers, and at the recent Joe-Con, a number of interesting items planned for the "The Pursuit of Cobra" line were shown, (in particular, the Cycle Armor) and images shown that reveals that Mecha are on the books, with a focus on that line that seems to be adapting Joe to include the concepts of Transformation and giant mechanical battle suits.

For Many fans the lines between these franchises have always been blurred, and with the concepts of each line mixing into the others, Has there been any substantial discussion of a cross-over line to occur in the near future? Either in the vein of Transformers becoming Joe/Cobra/Red Shadows vehicles, or the addition of Transformer's human characters being introduced in the ranks of those organizations as was done with M.A.S.K.

2) With the number of properties held by, or under license to Hasbro, and the favorable response to the existing Crossovers with Marvel and Star Wars, (I'd also add Takara's Disney Label Line to those for collectors) should we expect to be seeing more additions to this sub-line on a regular basis or avoid adding too much more to these in order to concentrate on developing main line.

3) Animated Fortress Maximus, Can you make it happen??? :P

In light of the Hasbro/Discovery partnership, I'm concerned about the remains of Transformers: Animated. I understand that as an ongoing series its done and has entered syndication... But I feel that there are still several plotpoints that could/ should be answered- particularly the exact origins of Sari and how she found her way to Earth.

So I guess my question is: Will there be a finale TFA movie ala the Teen Titans finale, "Titans in Tokyo?"

They mentioned that there might be an ANIMATED comic book/graphic novel to continue the series. At least I think they did.

They have answered from other sites that they do not have any intended plans for any JOE/Transformers crossovers.

Is that an assumption or is that the actual answer? Anyhow, I would think it would be a bigger deal to casual fans and parents. Most collectors will either buy them regardless or get that info another way (such as watch a video review) if it's of importance to them. Not sure how it would effect developers, though. Someone has obviously transformed one of the mold's figures before it's packaged and sold. Doesn't seem like it would be too tough to get a reasonably accurate rating. Hell, I'll volunteer my services for the measly fee of keeping the figure afterward.

How it affects me, if I'm on the fence about a figure and I'm at the store (not having watched a review,) I'd be more likely to make an impulse buy on a figure with a difficult rating if they were actually accurate...and less likely for a figure with an easy rating, though if I'm on the fence, I'm likely to pass and get more info first anyhow.

And, will you be giving any of the Human Alliance figures and RPMs a Premium treatment (despite the current HA accuracy)?

On the subject of accuracy, will we be seeing more remolds (like Leader Optimus Prime and Voyager Starscream) of certain figures from both films (like Ratchet and Jazz), and Leader-sized versions of the Decepticons that are supposed to be Leader-sized, to go with Optimus and Megatron (like Blackout, Bonecrusher, Starscream, Soundwave and The Fallen)? :-B

1) The Premium line of the first movie was used to fix some of the inaccuracies of the first toys and to give collectors a second chance of buying an initially unavailable figure. No plans for a Premium line for ROTF are made, let alone announced.

2) See Above

3) Retools are expensive to do, and the line is tied to a certain budget. That budget only allows a certain number of molds per size class, and possibly retools. More Leaders is out of the question, as the maximum number of Leader molds is 3, and they've already exceeded it with Starscream. Remember, Hasbro is not concerned with scale, so more Leader molds is next to impossible.

Look.

We're on the site day in and day out. Most of us have been doing so for years. Many questions that are asked here, have already been asked, and most have been fully answered several times over.

This topic is like try-outs. If your question is new, innovative, or touches on information that has not been provided or that has not been given a clear answer, it might make the cut.

We only get a few questions answered and honestly, "Is the Alternator line coming back?" type questions can be addressed by some of the posters here who are walking fact-checks.

Quoted for Truth. In a thread like this, where only 3 questions get picked for submission to Hasbro the crew has to be strict. Simply put, if a question can not be answered by any of us and is interesting enough to be answered by Hasbro itself, it qualifies. Otherwise, be prepared to see me or any other member passing around (sometimes obvious) answers ;)

Perhaps it would help sending a link our Hasbro Q&A archives?

Thanks but with respect, this board is for questions to Hasbro, so I would like Hasbro to answer them!

You say the Premiums were to correct faults? No, they were for more realistic colour schemes! The only 'fault' they altered was the Leader-Class Optimus Prime (changing the gun to a sword) and when I got Premium Barricade, I noticed there was a fault in his foot; it doesn't transform or clip into place properly. Plus, the arm on my Deep Space Starscream can't be held in by the body properly. Plus, most of the ROTF figures have major faults in them (my Sideswipe, Sideways and Bumblebee suffer from something, the only ROTF figures I'm really pleased with is Soundwave and Wheelie) so by your rationale, Premiums *will* be on their way!

They are definitely holding back on the Premium line...I think there's something shifty going on... /:)

:BOOM:

He didn't state that they where there to fix the toys, they where there to make them more move accurate colour wise.

And we have made it our policy to answer questions that have already been answered by Hasbro so that we can pick the questions that are new as we only have 3 to spend. And hasbro has already stated that there will be no premium line for ROTF.
So it's wait and see if they will do them but I'm pretty sure they won't make any as the original premium line deputed around this time in 07 and we haven't seen one indicator for it happening again save for Takara's Buster Prime.

Okay, fair enough as you've said before, but I know as I've said before that I've seen at least one Q&A session where Hasbro were asked about ROTF Premiums and the answer was a positive; that's why I'm still hot on the subject.

But I do have another question; why are we, in the UK, so behind on transformers? The two lines I am after (ROTF and Star Wars) were released earlier this year, and we still haven't advanced, whilst the USA gets all the latest lines and figures. Why are we lagging behind the US in everything (sure, obvious answer is 'UK', but that's not the point)? /:)

Also, as someone else stated; why can't we have a decent, movie-accurate Devastator? Both Supreme and Legend have inaccurate colour schemes and I feel that the Supreme is poorly bashed together (for want of a better phrase); the vehicle sizes are all wrong and the proportions (especially with the head) are warped.

Oh, by the way, are there any plans to release a red Deluxe Rampage and Deluxe Ravage with a red eye (instead of the ghastly purple one)?
Image

I've been compiling a scale list (largest to smallest) of the Film Transformers based on; vehicle/alternate modes (with the best dimension data possible), as many official charts I could find & most crucially, the figures I actually own & desire! If anyone would like a bit of assistance in scale or would simply like a peek at the list, do say so! ^^

(Also been working on something big; I'm a writer, so that's a clue... ;))

WE're working on trying to gather all the info, and organize it. There's just a lot of info, and then one wonders if it is worth the effort. Previously, we linked to several threads from the different sites with their answers, but nobody looked at them, and we kept getting repeat questions (like we are this time, even repeating our own questions which have been addressed). I think this is more efficient, even if it seems that the answers are not 'official', often times they have been officially answered.

Thanks much to Jelze and others for taking the time to share their knowledge, and information with all of us, so we don't have to get the answers to questions like in the last two sets, in which the ire of the community was directed at yours truly for not getting together questions that were more hard-hitting.

So this is, as has been said, part of the weeding out process. Sure HASBRO might gander at these threads (or some intern or someone), but they will only offer answers to what we submit. WE are taking steps to make sure our questions are the best possible.

I for one appreciate the input, and also the questions.

Because cost of production compared to profit = non-profit for them.

1. We saw a giant reissue rush at the GIJoe anniversary, why is there nothing like that at the Transformers front?

2. Some late waves are constantly missing from the european market - the last wave of Energon, Cybertron and Animated has been just skipped in favor of later lines - could there be some quickening in favor of speeding up the release of waves (less time between waves?)

Nearly everyone seemed disappointed over the announcement that we'd only get 4 construction toys in the ROTF line, so has any consideration been given to creating toys for Scrapper, Hightower, and Overload in the line for TF3?

I believe GI JOE 25th basically was to get the fans back after the SIGMA SIX debacle.

Still we did have CLASSICS then UNIVERSE with classics mixed in, did we not?

I would assume probably not unless they show up in the 3rd movie, which if they knew, they wouldn't answer at this time anyhow.

I would also like to point out that the Joe lines are cheaper to produce, and the re usability of the molds is to a level TF can't duplicate. Just look at how many 25thRAH figures are being reused in the ROC line. Let alone the base figure introduced in the MARS preview have been used on a number of figures since. The sad fact is that Joe is a cheaper and quicker line to produce.

Once I ran an Anime festival with over 6,000 attendees. Now... not so much.

True, I suppose... I've read that some torsos and various parts are reused numerously on other figures.

If I recall correctly we get leader Screamer fall 09/early 10 and from the couple of prototype shots i've seen thus far it looks great, right down to the mechalive chest and the gatling guns on the forearms.
