The way I see it, everybody wins. One more gets ordered, adding to what's needed to reach a tier and unlike Scalping, you buying more does not limit anyone from getting one. Then, since we know this item is limited, can only be bought once, and won't be available at retail, it is certain that not everyone who might be interested in this cool toy one day is ordering one now. So there's a nice opportunity to sell this toy at a markup later.

As with all toys that were once easy to get but now are not.

This is exactly why I ordered two. Separately though, so I should probably ask to have them combined.

I cancelled my first backing, then re-backed two. 25$us to ship one, 30$us to ship two.
So two it is.



If that garbage Gen Metroplex sell for 500$can, I don't see why HASLAB Victory Saber cannot sell for less than 600$can down the line.

But as a fellow above have pointed out, paying by credit card is not the best plan. I'll have to pay it back ASAP to make everything worth it.

They just revealed the second backer tier and it's a stand. I'm hoping that the base of the stand at least gets color in the final product but it's still neat to see a proper stand being included. Makes me wonder if Hasbro knows they've hit the tier for the V-Lock gun through affiliate orders Little odd to me that tier 2 isn't the shield though...

That 17K Stand is completely underwhelming. Now it makes me curious. While I know Cookie Monster is the only Haslab that didn't fund so far, did all the others meet ALL their stretch goals? Unless the 20K one is something pretty spectacular, I would be perfectly fine if there were just the 14K to get the extra Cannon.

In terms of safety of profit, you are better off with Victory Sabre. Asset class investments (meaning collectibles) have a way better track record than any 1 stock. Also, something that is truly important, people should only invest in what they know well. As soon as you get into stuff you don't know, it can backfire since you won't know when to divest. But that's just a side note.

basically, any 1 stock can lose in value just as much as it can go up. But Victory Sabre won't decrease in value, so it's automatically safer for a chance to make some money.

As for me, it's not that I am hoping to make bank, just that it would be a way to lower my cost on my personal purchase.

The campaign for Hasbro's Victory Saber is going along really well. With 24 days to go and partnership orders outside of Pulse not yet counted, we are at almost 7900 backers, with 11000 needed for the figure to be made. And we don't even have colour samples yet. Hasbro has given us an update on this project with a reveal of the second tier. If the campaign reaches 17000, we will get an articulated display base for Victory Saber which works for robot and alt mode. A picture of the two configurations was given and you can see it below.

Me too. Ideally, I will have a "free" HASLAB Victory Saber in the end by selling my spare.

Aww, I wanted the flight stand shield he had in Masterpiece. But yay for a flught stand!

I'm hoping that final tier is worthwhile, a flight stand is nice but that's not really a draw. The cannons are a good starting bonus, but really the flight stand should've been tier 1 with the V-Locks being Tier 2.

That being said, does he have unique blast effects in these images? They're similar in shape to the Jetfire ones but they have a more "petal"-y design from the looks of things. Though that could easily just be them being opaque and making them look different.

thats... not really what I would call an enticing tier reveal. I mean, a display stand would be nice, sure, but as an incentive to drive sales? Even a teeny slug figure of Jan would be a cooler extra methinks. Also, I want a teeny figure of Jan to go with him. Might as well toss Holi onto that pile.

I think they are the same ones, they just look more detailed or petal-y due to the grey coloring showing every individual line that gets lost when they are clear

I do have one criticism about this figure and I have seen others have it too. The Vlock canon should be able to peg to be in the middle. That canon is something more synonymous with the toy and its too bad we can't recreate the toy look





Looks like such a small thing to fix.

Some things were fixed on Unicron by fan's demands. So I don't see why such a simple thing won't be if enough people ask for it.

a stand... how lame. how about more weapons or another transformer or something? how about showing a paint job or something? does this thing require stickers? i do not want to place stickers on it.

Weapons? All of Star Saber and Victory Leo's iconic weapons have already been shown. What more do you want? Some random blaster neither have ever had before?

As for the paint job, this is just an early mock-up. The colors come when the project is greenlit.

Well not sure what the reasoning was (did anyone get an email about the Tier 2 reveal?), but there seems to have been a little boost today, Up about 200 backers so far, as opposed to being very stagnant, less than 100 backers growth in the last 2-3 days. I still say it is probably more to due with good timing and people getting paid (some folks in the U.S. are getting that sweet sweet gubmment' stimulus that we will likely pay back in taxes) than the actual tier 2 reveal itself. But whatever the reason, I cant wait to see what the number of backers is by the end of the weekend. If by some miracle this can fund without backers from Japan, we can just have them push us all the way through the stretch goals .

I have been checking the numbers daily, I can say they had already gone up before this news dropped, at least here anyway. Given that they are already showing the second stretch goal so far from the funding numbers tells me they have already seen the foreign sales numbers and we are already there. Pure speculation mind you, but a reasonable one. Still underwhelmed by the stretch goals this far, but realistically there's really not a whole lot else that Victory Saber needs. I mentioned Jan and Holi a few posts back, given it's his adopted son and all, but what else could there really be? maybe an operation table you can strap T.R. Power Master Prime to to recreate his death and rebirth as Victory Leo? Or maybe an alternate bigger Saber head so you can have the "unmasked" star saber and not have a cartoonishly tiny head (looking at you mp Star Saber)

I would expect the last one to *hopefuly* be some sort of Micromaster(s). But I mentioned a while back; I know it is odd, but I'd defintely take a CW Deathcobra. They have the helicopter mold already, just a new head tool is needed, which wouldn't be much.

For the third tier, best not to get your hopes up...I mean ge doesn't have his shield yet...

As always expect the worse then you can be surprised if something good does happen.

That stand concerns me, does this mean Victory Saber can't stand on its own? I'd hate to see the figure take a knee.

Regardless, a flight stand for the spaceship mode is pretty neat. And if it help the full bot mode be in fancy poses, the better it will be.

while I still feel underwhelmed with this reveal, I do really dig that the stand is the victory logo. would be nice to see that in color as well

I'll be dead honest, it's not like I need any tiers beyond that canon. Everything truly is a bonus to me beyond that.

And I don't even need the cannon, I'm perfectly happy with the base package. So I'm not gonna be upset about any of the stretch goals, since it's all just free addons for me
