Honestly, I think even if you made a Unicron that was only 18" tall, he'd still have to be like $300 because of the complexity and mass required to actually get him to turn him into a sphere (given that they've mentioned that's where the main difficulty was in designing him), if you can even pack it in a figure that size. A $150 Titan Class Unicron probably wouldn't be able to turn into a full sphere.

As in, 2 inches taller than Armada Unicron?

I wonder how much the Neo Unicron would have retailed for though people would have derided that for accuracy to the movie version.

The big question would always be, what to do with the planet kibble, as Unicron didn't benefit from the design Primus got in the Cybertron line which allowed for the kibble to be present.

Well considering it was based on BW Neo, and probably would have only been released in Japan, probably whatever the equivalent of $50.00 US was back in 1999.

When Armada Unicron was released four years later in 2003, I'm pretty sure fans knew it was based on the Armada series, and NOT supposed to be the original. I sure made that distinction. Honestly, I had consented even back in 1986 (before I even knew there had been prototypes) that something as big and glorious as the original Unicron could never be made, and back then, that was probably true.

I kind of wish that the Neo Unicron had been made however, and BW Neo's ending would not have been cut short.

Seemed to have worked for the barge but I can see why the month deadline is a sticking point. Personally I want it to succeed as a model like that needs to be released. I can see them losing money if an item like this was made normally.

Don't be ridiculous. It's not about you. The gimmick should not be used and the only way to show Hasbro is failure. To be honest, I haven't been "a part of the fandom" for a long time because of Hasbro's choices and lack of involvement with the distribution of their products that we do actually want. I don't "wish others not to have Unicron." That is just stupid. I want Hasbro to fail at this and try another method.

Wait a sec, we have 2 lines dedicated to expensive Transformers just for fans who have the dough, along with plenty of licensed statues and even a Unicron lamp that was more expensive than this transforming unicron (and it sold out!), and just NOW the hobby looks elitist? Time to wake up.

I think we all appreciate your single handed attempt to bring down the villainous Hasbro but chanting for it to fail is, well, lame. I hope your negativity campaign fails because if Unicron fails you won’t have ‘done it’ you won’t have brought down the system or whatever it is you’re trying to do. I'm international too Burn, why do you never consider me as such? Hasbro is more involved now then they ever were, regardless if we benefit from it or not. I do hope they can provide that service in a localised manner to more nations eventually.

Well Hasbro’s a US based company despite partnerships and whatnot. Canada, Australia, yeah that’s I guess technically international for Hasbro right?

I hear people’s frustrations at the limitations of the company but you’re arguing that it’s global but not global enough or to a degree that you find satisfactory is that correct?

In comparison to what other toy company’s efforts? Who has more efficient and accessible global outreach with its products, main line, exclusive, or otherwise?

I’m just trying to find the root of the frustration because I wonder if it could get lost and morph from pragmatism to general pessimism and I don’t want that for a fellow fan.

I sincerely do wish it a positive thing for everyone and hate that it’s not. It’s all perspective though I get that here in the US I don’t have that same stake in the frustration and I’m aware of that.
