Hexwing Art Competition (Cash Prizes)
This is an open competition for any artists that wish to compete for drawing the best Hexwing full color drawing. This competition is being posted on Transtopia, Allspark, TFans, TFW2005, IDW Publishing, and Devil's Due Publishing art boards (if moderators are willing). It will be judged on quality, and creativity. Of the artists that choose to do this, I would ask them to make Hexwing ?theirs.? To view her, and interpret her in their own styles.
Prizes:
1st Place - $70 US
2nd Place - $60 US
3rd Place - $50 US
The three winners will receive their prizes via Paypal, or personal check (which ever is preferred). By entering this competition the 3 winners agree to submit their final artwork at size 8x11 average at 330dpi. in PSD Photoshop file format, and high resolution JPGs of both lineart and colored artwork. This artwork will be accepted by me, SkyQuake, after the prizes have been awarded, and just payment given.
How to enter:
Post your art piece in this thread at half the size up to full size (enough to see the kind of detail that you put into it). The competition will end on June 01, 2006 at 8:00 p.m. (U.S. Central time). No submissions will be accepted after this. It will then be judged for an undisclosed amount of time (depending on judges schedules).

We tried to stop her, but we were too late. Hexwing has defeated Galvatron, and so ascends to lead the Decepticons. Where she has gotten her power is (quietly) guessed at, but I believe I record the truth herein. Hexwing is an interdemensional being like that of Unicron, or Primus. My evidence comes from interrogating one of her spies (who will not be reporting back to her). Apparently, she was much bigger at one time, but suffered some sort of calamity upon entering our universe which destroyed her original body. From what I can gather, her mind fractured shortly afterward into nine distinct beings, all carrying a bit of Hexwing within them. Viral (the headmaster) appears to hold the bulk of Hexwing?s core consciouness. Like her 8 sisters, Viral seems to have a growing mind of her own, but Hexwing lords over her viciously as Viral appears more like a hunched-over floating wraith, than a being of character.
I believe the only reason why Hexwing chose to take over the Decepticons is that she needs an army, and what better way of forming one than stealing it? For what purpose? Soundblaster, Chargoil, and I are still working on that, but it can?t be good for her new conscripted troops. The way they now bow to her sickens me!
Abilities:
At Hexwing?s core must be a being of energy. She is able to manifest energon weapons of great power. Her shock-whip paralyzes limbs on contact. She can bond with smaller micromaster-like beings called Minicons that were captured from? who knows where (need more info). She is also able to hurl ball lighting from her hands. These balls of energy do great damage to internal circuitry for even those that are grounded. Also, some balls have been observed to magnetize the metal objects that they impact with. Thus, this causes her foes to magnetically bond together or with surrounding objects. Needless to say this can immobilize several troops who are unfortunate enough to be standing too near each other, or on a metallic planet. Hexwing is also stronger than any of the other current combiners. I do not know if Predaking will be salvageable after he defended Galvatron? and fell. Even Lord Zarak appears to fear her. The secret of her power? I suspect that she still has a link to the Astral Plane from which she comes.
Weakness:
Even the most powerful despot must have a weakness. Currently, she doesn?t appear to have one. Yet, I do detect a beginning divergence in the 9 beings that comprise her (based on some surprisingly public arguments). If this divergence can be nurtured in some way? Also, if the secret to Hexwing?s power does lie in the Astral Plane, should that link be severed, maybe she can be dealt with (in a fittingly violent way). There was also a rather embarrassing episode when she threw her ball lightning at Superion. This magnetized Sups, who was already swiftly approaching her. They magnetically bonded in a most peculiar place. Hehehe?. I don?t normally pity Autobots, but poor Superion? Talk about a black widow tearing apart her lover?.
