How come nobody has asked what happened to ENERGON in the movie?

Umm... what DID happen to ENERGON and while all these questions in this forum are terrifice querries.. I want to know why it wasn't even mentioned in the dvd extras??
What will Bay do for their Energy? They have to loose energy eventually. Will Energon surface in TF2? Will they just have a longer threshold? Will they plug themselves into home AC sockets? Will they drink Red Bull instead?
I searched for this question and maybe the search engine was broke, or maybe nobody has actually asked this yet.
So I'm doing it now. For the sake of all fuel-lovers. What happened to Energon?

I personally don't think they had enough time to go into the whole needing energon for survival thing. They barely had any Transformers at all!
I would think they would have to address the issue in the second movie though. There is no way the Transformers could live on Earth without energon and I don't think they can skirt around that issue. Then again, I'm not the one who is writing the movie.

I agree with Susinko. There was already a ton of things going on the first movie and the last thing Bay needed was to try and explain Energon. Especially since the plot in the first movie was so flimsy to begin with.
If the Autobots are staying on Earth, and it sounds like they will be, then they do need to find some sort of energy source. That is, unless Mr. Bay or the writers come to the conclusion that they are robots that just keep going, and going, and going with no power sources to keep them charged.
Could be a plot point in the next film.

i thought the allspak was a nod to the energon cube. the allspark was a cube full of energy, hence the energon cube. i pride myself on being a pretty hardcore TF fan and i dont remember any "all spark" from the toon. i figured the writers thought it would be tough to explain the energon cube in the movie being that soundwave wasnt included in the movie and he has alot to do with the creation of the cubes. still they can easily make up some excuse and include the energon cube in TF2.

Well elated I am to find some of you actually took the time to take a few guesses at this. I think there was some confusion for Bay with some website called "the allspark" and the whole Energon Cube concept. Maybe he amalgamated the name with cube and came up with his own hokey thing there.
But yes, by the time the 2nd movie begins they will need to address their need for some form of energy. Soundwave should be finally brought in most definatly, and at least 2 triple changers at that. I'd LOVE to see hot rod live... but that'll never happen probably.
Mainly I think they really need to deal with Energon and address this. I am still wondering why these threads have been here so long without this question here? I did a search and could not find anyone questioning this until now.
Energon is a BIG DEAL people.

I seem to remember that either the original treatment or original script had the Energon Cube instead of the Allspark. I believe Carly found it in the desert at an archeological dig or something.

In one of the first drafts, it was called "Energon Cube" and it was a power source.

maybe that was energon flowing out of the Deceps that got hit. Maybe Bay thought the Cube which was "Raw" energy was the Energon cube? either way since it was the "allspark" he can defintately use the Energon word in a sequel.
im sure the next movie will deal with Energon, and or rebuilding the cube from the piece left that Prime had.
At this point there is so many places they could go. Which is fine as long as its not the Unicron/Galvatron story yet.

I don't really agree with that concept. Not to get all new age or get in some religious argument, but I always saw Transformers "sparks" to the the equivalent of a human soul. That way when you build a robot all you get is a robot, but sparks are the unique component needed to give sentient life to what would just be a robot.
And like a "human soul" a Transformer spark would not be a power source. Humans need to consume organic matter to sustain their bodies that carry their souls, so it would make sense that Transformers would need some sort of energy to maintain their metallic bodies that house their sparks.
Hmmmm.... I personally would like to see this addressed in the movie. It won't happen, tho. Not when Bay has a bridge to blow up or some random building to smash. *sigh*

It's all about nuclear power...we can have another Cold War with the US military helping the autobots again, and the Decepticons striking a deal with the axis of evil (Iraq, Iran, and North Korea). Wait, we own Iraq and never found WMD. Let's just leave it with the Decepticons striking a deal with the line of evil(Iran and North Korea).

That's E85. It's 85% ethanol, 15% gasoline.

some people think the allspark was the matrix but I think it was an energon cube and in the sequel they'll find a whole lot more

I was/am under the impression that they passively collect, absorb and "feed" from near-by ambient energy sources ie: background EM radiation and the such.(tho for the record I have NO idea where I got this info)
Perhaps this serves as some explaination as to how Capt. Whitwicky was able to trigger Megatron's Nav systems - His own body heat & Nervous system (which is basically electrical in nature) providing Megs with just enough sustinance...an idea that seems to be supported by the fact that when he touches the dormant Decepticon , there is a small amount of arcing energy between them.
