im trying to create a new account and every time i try to do anything it asks me to choose my faction so i click on the faction i want and nothing happens, so what do i do next?

For me it was a long spiritual journey of enlightenment, that i can't clearly recall. Thus how i became a con, yours appears to be in haste. Which is why you are a autobot. :-$

Now you should be able to purchase bot weapons give names to them. Then you can join in missons or arena with said characters.

Either way, here is a FAQ to help you on your journey. Pretty much choose the alt forms you like best and see which factions have that. Outside of that... both factions are pretty much even and chewing on nails.
