How do you record your figures?
How do you record your figures?

so this post has no photos of my collection but a WIP listing. I am still sorting and organising it, actually making tie on tags to attach to my toys - since the idea of stickers on them turns me off.
I have all my instructions in a binder, with basically the index a separate binder. All my parts are in a drawer under my bed. labels for all.
I am thinking of using my new system to sort my website too.

In case they run away they won't end up at the pound.

So her husband can identify them.
It's not such a bad idea. I have a entire room full of Transformers, if something happened to me (like I died), what would my family do with it? They can't tell difference between the valuable and non-valuable figures.

Oh, sounds like a decent idea.
If I tagged them I'd tag them by year they were made, toyline and then name. (Also aprox. value)

You can download your library file and keep that handy for others to reference.
All of my non displayed toys are in labeled bins by line with their instructions and cardbacks stored in labeled bags.
My displayed toys, i have bin for their parts and boxes as well as 3" d ring binders storing their hardbacks and instructions alphabetically.
Once i got in the habit of organizing by folder and bin, it has made storing and finding things much easier.

that is exactly why. So he can find the parts associated with a specific figure.

Also tell them to ask for help on a forum like here. or to use places like TFU.info to identify parts.
But if you are making a list it might be worth making a not if you kept the box or not and where you put it.
