I don't know. I'd say you'd be best off just going ahead and buying the TFs that you dig the most. For instance, I went with Voyager Class Megatron over Leader Class Megatron because I liked his alt mode and robot mode much better than the supposedly more 'elite' model. Yes, Voyager class Megatron is definitely not anywhere near to scale when compared with a toy like, say, Leader Class Prime. But what are you gonnna do? Look at Bonecrusher, for instance. In the movie, he's taller than Prime, but as a Deluxe toy, he's a friggin' midget. Anyhow, just a thought. Good luck on your quest!

What do you mean they can;t get it shraight?
The height referecnes differ from source to source, so they put them all.
But I think I've got it pretty close.

Optimus Prime: 28ft
Bumblebee: 16-17ft
Ratchet: Two sources say about 20ft
Ironhide: Two sources say about 22ft
Jazz: 15ft

Megatron: Source says 35ft, but I think he's a little shorter.
Starscream: 31ft
Frenzy: 4ft
Blackout: 33ft
Barricade: 17-18ft (slightly bigger than BB)
Devastator: I'll say about 33-35ft
Boncrusher: Wikipedia didn't specify, but he was close to Optimus' height , so I'll say 27-29ft

These are approximate.
You can just estimate if you need to.

Ooops...
Just remembered... I think toy sizes are inaccurate in general.
In the movie for example, Starscream is about 31 ft.
But wiki stated that his voyager toy would suggest 55ft. That's a big difference...

It's Wiki ... not entirely accurate. Gets it right sometimes sure but not all the time.

But like SP said, the toys sizes are inaccurate, in other words, they're not to scale.

Sources say blackout is the largest decepticon, which i guess means bigger than megatron?

Optimus was said to be around 28 ft tall and megs going on 30-32 ft.

Jazz has to be at least 14 feet, BB around 17ft, ironhide like 22, ratchet 20. ss had to be at least 25

Why would you need to height to determine what toy to get?

How are an MRAP & a Pave low Hellicopter the same size? What movie were you watching? Not only that but where is your common sense?
Brawl & Screamer similar, Megs a bit taller than them, Blackout only just shorter than Megs. Prime & Screamer are similar size, with Ratchet & Ironhide being quite a bit smaller than Prime & Bonecrusher only just shorter than Prime. Then come Jazz, Bumblebee & Barricade. Bumblebee's classic camero alt mode is a little wider than the concept camero. Arcee is quite a bit smaller than the cars, with Frenzy in there around human height, below Arcee's 10'ish.
Scorpinok I'm not too sure on, I'd assume bigger than the car bots. Have I missed anyone?
I know Arcees not a movie bot but I included her anyway.

Wikipedia says theres a life size frenzy toy but can't transform and they say he is 3ft tall when he is probably 4ft.

i remember reading in the transformers game manual that starscream was 31 feet tall, and that prime, in all his glory, is only 28 feet. frenzy is 3-4 feet. andd bonecrusher is NOT as tall as prime. did you see the last fight? prime is at least two meters taller, unless you count the claw.

megatron is the biggest transformer on earth, like 39-43 i think i remember, and the book said that blackout was megatrons right hand man and the "biggest decepticon" but i think that's a load of crap.

blackout and starscream are roughly the same size, but i dont remember and can't tell by the movie.

dat be all i got

Funny thing is, if you stand all the movie Autobots next to each other, the Voyager and delux lines seem to be more accurate to the movie. I compared it with the scene when they're all standing in the alley, all of them are roughly the same size, except for Jazz and Bumblebee.
Formally Silverado Bot

My collection so far: Voyager movie Prime, '76 Bumblebee(2x), Concept Camero Bumblebee, FB Jazz, dlx Brawl, movie Starscream, movie Barricade, Alternator Skids, Movie Ironhide, Movie Ratchet, movie Dropkick, movie Arcee, movie Armorhide
