how to get an avatar

I have a question how to i get and set myself one so plz give me any information how to do this

avatars can be any image from your computer but it has to be within the size restrictions. It also needs to be appropriate in terms of content-wise. In terms of putting the avatar in, you click on profile then edit. There is a section on putting an avatar in your posts.
