war for cybertron multiplayer altmodes dictated by class?

Hello im just trying to get some confermation on this bit of news

are the alt modes in multy player going to be dictated by class

like all solders will turn in to tanks

all scouts will be cars

all scintests will be plans
and all leaders trucks?

anything anyone knows on this will be aprciated

No information has been released at this time to whether alt modes are restricted to class. In speculation though, it appears that you can customize your alt mode because they seem to want to give players a large chunk of customization.

I would stay tuned to seibertron for more info as it gets released.

I've seen nothing about this other than the multiplayer trailer myself, but with Shockwave and Demolishor being announced as multiplayer exclusive characters, I'm guessing we'll have at least a couple of alt-modes per class.

They might even make more as DLC (I'm thinking G1-ish designs, I'm really hoping for (fire/laser-breathing) T-Rex Grimlock!)
assembling a Neo-G1/TF:TM cast. Please PM if you have (or know of) the following at a reasonable price: Classics or Henkei Astrotrain, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, or 3rd Party iGear Ratchet and Ironhide.
Also looking for Universe Repugnus and Overbite, Frostbite and Longhorn and any Webdiver toys.

I think that depends on which canon they are semi-following.

strange thing is, didn't some one say air raid is a scout? while he is a scientist in the trailer. but then again it doesn't say on the websites character bio. maybe that's a clue

Air Raid is a character in the single(or co-op) player story mode, so therefore he doesn't have the skills and abilities that a multiplayer bot would have. If you look at his abilities he has dash and guided missle, which would suggest a warrior class, but since he doesn't have all the other warrior abilites in his bio, my best educated guess is that he won't be in the multiplayer mode.

The other bot you are referring to is that jet/scientist in the multiplayer demo? Keep in mind that all the bots shown in the multiplayer demo trailer were all bots made through TF:WFC's multiplayer bot customization feature.

Once again, my best educated guess here is that you won't be able to just jump into Optimus Prime or Megatron and go do some multiplayer player vs player combat, but you will be able to make customizable bots that kinda look like them with quite a few more abilities and weapons which, in relation to the canon, makes the most sense.

EDIT: Don't get me wrong, the single/co-op player mode bots do have classes, such as Ratchet being a scientist, Bumblbee as a scout, and OP as a leader - Its just that those classes are automatically assigned to those characters and their weapons and abilities are going to be set for the story mode. You might see a little customization, but not as much as you will see in the multiplayer.

ok yeah that makes sense. it be silly if all 3 fliers in single player flight levels where scientists.

It's going to be like a create-a-bot mode, where you choose a class (Scouts-Cars, Leaders-Trucks, Scientists-Planes, & Soldiers-Tanks), select a chassis & color, name & perks. A source also says that the ranks & upgrades will we Call of Duty style.
