these two are pretty much different sides of the same coin. prowl is a more ridgid planned and military, while jazz is more dynamic and improvisational. prowl is probably slightly stronger, but jass is probably slightly faster. other than that their nearly identical.

their both highly skilled and high ranking. prowl is more suited to command because hes fairly by the book, but jazz is better in weird environments and new situations. i think that while prowl would be at a disadvantage with the unpredictability of jazz, hes still very skilled and wouldnt be confused by jazz simply jummping up and saying "woo, look at me, im doing a cartwheel". so no simple logic overloads, prowl isnt shockwave. the fight is out in open terrain, say a wide open area with a decent amount of trees rocks and cover.

OK I like Jazz so I'm going to say him regardless, but like you said his improvisational skills will tell the tale in the fight I believe it will come out like the fight between leo and raph in the latest ninja turtle movie and I'll let Nightwatcher let you know how that ended.

Heavily logic-based Strategist vs. his highly-improvisational and arguably most skilled agent.

Kinda depends how batmanish Prowl is... If he's likely to have a file to stop Autobots (ala the xavier protocols) who go rogue. If not, then once Prowl's initial plans are foiled, he'll seem a bit like the Combaticon's Onslaught; not that he can't just opt for a new strategy. Jazz is likely to monopolize on the situation, just not enough to seal a victory.

While I can see it going either way, I think Jazz's feild exp may ultimately prevail. It's gonna be close no matter who wins.

Oh, and like Phategod1, I'ld also like to see Nightwatcher's take on this match up. :grin:

Prowl wins, stronger, faster and more intelligent. Sure Jazz can improvise but that can only take you so far and Prowl is one of the top autobots. If you read the Earthforce stories then Prowl turns into more of a badass as well.

Damm right, Prowl is probably the most powerful of the Autobot Cars.

Prowl has book smarts. Jazz has street smarts. They must be VERY familiar with each other. Prowl is a bit stronger and can analyse the situation extremely well. Jazz makes very skillful, intuitive moves. If Jazz wants to win, he should use his best tricks and bamboozle Prowl before delivering the final blow. If Prowl wants to win, he should anticipate as many tactics as possible and try to counter the ones that are used. Before making his decisive strike. Remember that Prowl can fire TWO missiles at once while Jazz only has one ready.

Anyway, this is academic. They wouldn't fight unless in extremis, or in training.
