Your custom is one of the best Ive seen from the new -figures -to -classic figures catagory.Since Jin is too busy inflating his ego,could you please tell me what paints you used for your figure?Thanx,and again this is an excellent custom!

I'm really loving this custom however, I would like to critique on it as well. If we follow the true tradition of "galvatron"...he should be pristine, in fact, as pristine or more so than 08BB when we first see him. In the blog you linked, they compliment your ability to add battle damage, if he's really megatron reborn, he should be perfecto.

that is true , i was going to keep his purple battle wear clear , but honestly when i was taking pictures he didnt look right , and it was because the movie figure mold has curves and shading points which need to be highlighted to bring the realism out , but if u see the pics closely the only true wear you see is when he is in jet mode in robot i did very light wear which is well blended into the purple color ...... but all in all i am planning on a version 2 of this ....... so will keep all the critics in mind , i have something special planned for the next version .........

thank you for the kind comments , i try my best ........

Jin is a great guy i have exchanged emails with him , and i can tell you honestly the amount of work he has himself into , it would be very easy to miss questions or comments , i have done that in the past too ....... but anyways

the paints i used for the purple were citadel (games workshop)
the orange highlights were done with a translucent orange by TAMIYA
used model masters , silver and gun metal colors , and had a base coat of matte black , ( can be any regular good matte black spray paint ) .

just a tip the get the orange accents to look like in the pics , u need to paint silver under it where ever you will apply it to give its true effect.

i will post a full guide to galvatron on my website , check it out when its up , i try to update my website quite often but , i dont have as much time as other professional customizers , cause this is just a side thing apart from my real job as an environmental engineer , i use this passion and hobby to pay for my toys and pc upgrades , lol

the pay goes straight to my wife =P

i know its probably just me, but i've never been a fan of the movie leader megs! but i have to say i'm really diggin your color scheme, awesome work my friend!

Thank you for the fast reply on the paint question.Im a first-time customizer and that particular shade of purple is excactly what I need for the model.As far as the rest goes,Im there myself,married,daughter,mortgage,pets,inlaws,and only a little playtime.

HOLY SH*T!! :shock:

I LOVE this repaint!! I cant believe my eyes right now.. I think I like it more than Jin's!! and thats saying alot because I told Jin that his Galvy was his best work to date! Wow just wow! :grin:

the chain links are from bionicle legos and the middle piece of matrix is cut out of some pvc plugs i had laying around and then i added a trim around it ( had some tank belts laying around rubber ones ) and the handles are also bionicle stuff.

Better than Jin's,and a refreshing change not to see bloody Dr Octopus claws!He looks more like a "rip your nuts off" Galvatron rather than a "Huggy Bear" Galvatron.
