There is more to Transformers than movies, cartoons, comics and toys. Discuss anything else Transformers here.

So, what's your earliest memory of transformers?
Mine is that the man from Sky came to install our dish when an episode of transformers was on the TV so I had to miss most of it

I was sitting with my cosign in his TV room, transforming his astrotrain watching Shockwave transform in the first ep!

Spotting a wallful (well, about a third of a wallful) of cool toys upstairs at Kettering's WHSmith, back in the day. I was seven. Mum said I could have one of the small ones, and after much perusal, we bought Huffer.
Hooked, lined and sinkered.

Lining up my humble collection of Transformers on my grandfather's dining room table. And naming them all one by one. (And Cykill, my one and only Gobot.)

I forgot how it actually started. I was a Macross fanatic back then.
But i watched episode 1 somehow. And the succeeding episodes.
I wasn't really impressed with Transformers back then. I thought the transformation was just cartoon robot magically melting into a cartoon car, too fast, like just some sort of graphics tricks. Some impossible transformations. Unlike the Macross Valkeries, they transform slow enough to convincingly tell you that it works, and real toys can be made.
My perception changed the first time i actually saw a Transformer toy. So they were real after all!
Never looked back since then. I was instantly a TF fan all the way. Nothing comes close to it. Not even Macross!

Curious. Most people I know loved Transformers long before they got into things like Macross.

You are one of the first I know who is the reverse of this.

2. Voltes V
3. Some assorted chopsuey Japanese robots.
4. Macross
5. Transformers.

16 figures, all of the same Skywarp character. Who knows how many more in the closet?
Yeah. A LITTLE obsessed.

That round-head guy on the right don't count?
Or the two mini-figures on the left?

The two with Armada Skywarp are his Minicon Thunderclash, and the Dark Saber Minicon team.

I was three and my father persuaded me to get my first Transformer.
It was G2 I think, a space shuttle, can’t even remember the name now.
I’ve always been grateful to him for that.

I remember looking at G1 Ravage and Rumble in the store. I remember wanting Ravage so very bad. I think I got him for Christmas when I got my beloved Soundwave.

I recall Saturday Morning, not a weekday beeing my first introduction. I had not seen the opening of the show and I never heard of it. My dad sat and watched what I would later recognize as the first epsisode for about 3 minutes and then clicked back to some other more boring crap... but I secretly wondered about what I saw. Now I know it was the battle on the ark before hitting the meteors and plumitting to Earth and crashlanding. My only vivid memory is sound wave's unique tone as he called out "Meteor shower... METEOR SHOWER!!"... He had me at Meteor! The rest is history. I've been a fan all my life. I didn't start watching the show until after school let back in and it had been syndicated to the local station and was no longer on saturday on NBC as it started.
I've been around a long time and I've seen a lot of things, but nothing is quite as rich and full as the stories and characters of The TransFormers universe.
I'm glad to be alive and take a part of that with me wherever I go. I often wonder "what would Prime do?" or
"how would Bumblee react?".
I feel deeply as I am an avid MMO fan... that if a TransFormers MMORPG could be rendered in a respectful and functional light, I may never return to see the day again.

One of my earliest memories was watching the "Arrival From Cybertron" video tape when I was about 3 or 4 years old.
My mom was about to take me, and a family friend out for a picnic during the summer, and I was watching the video and playing with some Micromasters before going out.

My first two TFs: Huffer and Gears, given to me for my birthday when I had no idea what Transformers were.
I thought that their tech specs on the back were interesting, but I was still way into He-Man at the time.
Later, I watched 10-minute segements of G1 on "THE BOZO SHOW" on Chicago's WGN, and I was hooked. I'd watch that damn show everyday hoping for a clip of Transformers.
