when I get in the mood, I get crazy when I clean up my figures. My parents bought be a modle cleaning kit for christmas that rivals some of the things you would see on CSI.

It never once occurred to me to wax any of my toys. Not a one. BTs, Alts, Hot Wheels...

I guess you can imagine what condition my poor car might be in.

the stuff i use is very good and it lasts. it also covers up small scratches and brings out the metallic flakes in the plastics. i was very impressed! you can find it at any wal mart. it's like an acrylic when it dries and is very durable (hell its made for floors!!) it can be removed w/ ammonia (?)

I'm not sure how many chemicals I want to be putting on my TFs. I can just see me melting holes in the plastic.

i promise, i wouldn't do it if it would harm my precious alts!! besides, i'm just giving tips. feel free to try if curious. just make sure you put on 1 coat at a time. wait til it dries, then touch up. if you apply to the drying coat, you will see application ridges (still not bad, but not perfect). its basically a clearcoat and brings out the best look for them. i never tried it on the other lines as they are not realistic by any means.

i just did my rumble and it looks 10x's better. really. try this it works and it doesn't mess up your figures at all. for rumble i pulled his chestplate straight out and held onto that like a handle while i applied the coat. my rumble's plastic was scuffed up right out the box. now you can't see anything but a nice clean shine. i also just applied it to my smokescreen and dead end. they look alot better as well. i usually wait about 1 hour for it to cure (you can handle it in 15 min tho) and it doesnt take fingerprints and smudges like it did b4 i applied this stuff.
i have only used this on my alternators so far. i imagine if i applied it to my binaltechs, it may help prevent chipping and scratching of the paint.
