UPDATE UPDATE !!

well this is the first glimpse of the city mode !! like i said first glimpse but it gives you an idea of where i,m going with this !! this project is driving me nuts !! just for the joint systems it,s taking me allot of time to balance it all !! and it,s still in the initial stage !! but i,m confident this entire project will go where i want it to go !!

hi guys !!

well this is a small update and as you can see i,ve concentrated on detailling the main command tower and it's really something !!! it's going where i want it to go and everything is on track.... amd ypu can ee how detailled this guy is going to be !!

also as a reference for scale, i,ve put hoc omega supreme beside for a small idea of how big this sucker is and yes it's modified as well lol

so i hope you like the updates !!

I LOVE miniature cityscapes. So, this particular touch on Metroplex is my favorite so far.

And I SEE WIRES! Electronic light-up cityscapes! Hehehe

hi guys !!!

well a little bit more details and windows and symbol !! i'm trying to complete the main tower to give the beat for the rest of the city.... i want to build about 4 more major structures such as this one and 6-8 medium size towers and many small ones... it will have runways for shuttles, roads, nightlights... and many more suprises that i think you'll like !! oh and sounds of course...

just finished metroplex's center chest piece (the round thingy...) i've added a bit more details and refinements to it and it blends well with the rest of the building

For what I've seen so far, I wish the final result will be as detailed as this.
I can't think of any word in my very limited vocabulary, to describe this project of yours.

hi guys !!

well you're right !! details are a prime importance in this project.... you have NO idea how much will be involved in this.... gives me a headhache just thinking about it lol...but all buildings will be as detailled as the main one....

well for a new house .... my wife is thinking the same thing lol !!
but this was something i had to do... been killing me for the past 1 1/2 year and when i have something in my mind it has the tendancy to become reality ....
i,ve started building #2 ... very very early in the construction phase but coming along nicely... also put some prime's there for size reference !!

the robot mode will be 95-98% like the g1 original metroplex (with allot more details on him) and the city mode will be 100% new design.... with autobot city in mind ( the original transformer movie city and not the toy)

well actually they're not piano hinges... you can find those at home depot.... as for holding it, it's cyanoaclilate glue and styrene sheets....

this is how building number 2 looks like after about 6 hours of work...this is only the lower part of the building and i'll be doing the top part tomorrow .... details are coming to me as i go !! (not always an easy thing !)

acutally ; NONE ! ...just trying to make molds of this things would cost in the thousands..... this is better as a hand-built item.... but is still a nightmare to do....

well here is my almost daily update lol ...
now the second part of tower #2 is coming along great but is a bit tricky and you can easily screw it up ! also notice some of the add-on's that are on that tower ... this tower is now 9 hours worth of production man this thing is going to take time lol
the other tricky thing is to make sure that all building have unique caracteristics and at the same time blend perfectly with the rest.... this one has shall we say unique features .
so enjoy !!

I think the idea of this project is just perfect because of the amount of blank slate and freedom it allows you to have working on it.

You don't have to follow any specific "Rules" or "Guidelines" and you have the freedom to make any part the shape and complexity you would like it and still have room for all those great details.

As long as you work within the alloted space you are fine.

Looks awesome man. I hope to see more progression..

ok guys i have a hell of an update !!

the pictures dont do justice to what i saw when i first illuminated part of this building.... the sight gave me goosebumps !!! and i FINALLY finished the damn floors and details !! here is the latest pictures... hope you like it !!
