I mentioned Sky Lynx. Omega Supreme, Japanese buyers did at least have access to the original Mechabot-1.

On the retool front, correct me id I'm wrong but I don't believe Takara ever got G2 Silverbolt. Or a lot of the unique G2 accessories like the new launchers for the Seekers and Autobot Cars, Inferno's water cannon, Optimus' air conditioner soundbox, the Seekers' tank soundbox...
Back to new molds, I know they got the Laser Prime mold, but what about the other Laser Rods?

The Japanese G-2 line only had the highly articulated figures from that era:

- Heroes
- Cyberjets
- Laser Rods
- Dreadwing & Smokescreen
- Laser Optimus Prime

The rest of the sub-groups were passed over (the big Tank Megatron and the Autorollers would be used for BWII). However, the Axelerators and Skyscorchers would have seen release as part of a line of building blocks called Block Town.

And the G2 launchers aren't as unique as you think: they were repurposed from G.I.Joe

The one used by the Autobot Cars and Onslaught was, yes. With retooling.

The one used by Silverbolt and the Seekers was brand new, to my knowledge. Same for Optimus' launcher rifles.

Optimus' were G.I. Joe as well, from Barricade.

A Decent list! I never took to Prime, so it is interesting to see the series represented here. Beast Machines remains a bit of double edged sword when it comes to the toyline. Most of the Vehicons were brilliant (nice shout outs to Mega Tankor and Scavenger) Meanwhile, other than Battle Unicorn and the first Optimus Primal (translucent Blue Munky)I found it better to just forget the others exist.
It is a shame in that respect, Japan missed out on the return to TF Mechanical roots the Vehicons embodied during the Beast Era.

Lastly, funny you should mention Ramulus. I was so taken with him, I ended up with two. Other than Cheetor, Megatron and Dinobot II, I still really adore the TM 2 line.

Hey everyone, I thought of another, Japan never did get YOTS Omega Supreme right? The Energon Omega Supreme redeco and retool made to look like G1 Omega Surpeme. The only platinum edition toy they got as far as I know is Trypticon.
