EDIT 11/28:
Cybertron Crosswise as Jazz
Energon Downshift as Wheeljack
I came up with a few ideas for possible repaints of figures from Armada/Energon/Cybertron as Classic characters, similar to the upcoming Devastator (with maybe a little remold here and there)

I lack the time, money and availabilty of most of these figures to make these into actual figures, but if anyone feels inspired by these, I'd love to see their take on them

Energon Insecticon as Bombshell
Energon Divebomb as Laserbeak
Energon Battle Ravage as Ravage
Energon Omega Supreme as Omega Supreme
Energon Optimus Prime as Menasor
Energon Energon Bruticus Maximus+limbs from other energon combiners as Bruticus (with a little remold for Swindle -> turn the crane into a missile lancher)
Cybertron Armorhide as Huffer
Armade Jetfire and Comettor as Galaxy Shuttle and Countdown
Armada Star-Saber and Jolt as the Micromaster Air Patrol

I did the same thing, along with Energon Towline for Ratchet and Ironhide.

I also, except my Towlines are Ratchet and Skids. Ironhide's from Inferno. And so's Inferno, surprisingly...

I've also got a second Downshift rework, and I'd like to do a third if I can get the fig...

I suggest repainting Cybertron Crosswise into Classics Jazz, like this Veyron:

Interesting, could work. Although Crosswise has already been repainted for Cybertron as what amounts to a Classics Smokescreen...

I know, but I find the Smokescreen repaint downright silly.
The paint scheme doesn't look good at all on the fake Veyron alt mode.

Also, Crosswise has a visor, like Jazz, and his roof/shoulder misslebanks could be modified into a stereo sound weapon.

I liked your idea, but lacking a crosswise-instruction sheet, I made a quick digi-bash of the idea (added into the first post)
