Hi all. I lurk mostly on this board, but I thought I'd share my custom.

In my never-ending quest to expand the Classics ranks, I give you an oft-overlooked character: G1 Omnibot Security Agent Downshift.

This was a super easy kitbash to give us yet another updated G1 Autobot. He began life as Classics Cliffjumper which I disassembled and coated with Krylon Fusion white. The finishing touch was giving him Cybertron Bendy Prime's head which ironically makes a good stand-in for Downshift's G1 head. I'm quite pleased with the results. I'm letting the paint cure for at least another week before I touch him again.

Awesome job. Though it would be keen if the alt mode was shaved down to give it a look more like the G1 alt mode.

Donshift didn't have a flight mode, did he? I thought that was just Overdrive.
Love it, very clever idea, and well executed.
Just a thought though; wouldn't a Bumblebee have been better, with the black arms and silver forearms? Or was 'Jumper all that was available? And yeah, a black bumper would look so much cooler.

His doors folded down. Whether they could be counted as wings though is debatable.

I always considered him flight capable anyway, but then, I was a kid when I came up with that idea.

Thank you all for the kind words. Ramrider yeah I wanted to use a Bee originally but by the time I got the idea Bee was long gone, and Target had Cliffjumper on clearance, so here we are lol. Bugbite would have been a more ideal base but I don't kitbash Botcon exclusives, even if they are lame.

This mold has a similar flight mode to G1 Downshift, but the doors rotate under the car. I considered taking a pic but didn't want to risk scratching the doors. Maybe once I find him some shoulder missiles. I considered painting the bumper black, but honestly I prefer it as is.

Coming back to Botcon for a moment: I'd have replaced Bugbite with the Mirage mold repainted as Crasher, and made Downshift here the freebie. That way they get a Decepticon Gobot in the boxset, and keep a CLassics Deluxe as the giveaway. But, it was not to be.
