I've gotta say, Cath can really design some interesting characters. I loved reading both Springshift and Nighthawk's profiles.

NAME: Nighthawk
FACTION:Autobot
FUNCTION: Aerial Combat Specialist
ALT MODE: Eurofighter Typhoon F2
MOTTO: "I wasn't built to walk"
PROFILE:Some bots are simply born to fly, and Nighthawk's one of them. Since he was able he's spent every spare moment perfecting his skills, taking ideas from anywhere and anyone in an effort to be the best. He'll take any excuse to get into the air and will often volunteer for missions just to get off the ground.
Like his flying, he takes his duties as an Autobot warrior seriously having joined as a professional fighter in the early stages of the war; but off duty he's a friendly and relaxed grunt who enjoys the odd practical joke and is more then happy to laugh at himself.
A little baffled by the whole human thing as they're the first organics he's ever encountered, he's often worried he's going to squish one accidentally, but enjoys flying with them to hone his skills; although he's a little less impressed with the number of organic obstacles (birds) in the Earths skies.
His favourite thing about the Autobots new home is extreme weather (he likes to play chicken with tornadoes); and although he'd never admit it to anyone he secretly admires the skills of the Decepticon Seekers in battle but reacts badly to any suggestion he might be like them.
STRENGTHS:His chosen alt mode gives Nighthawk minor stealth abilities; add that to his uncanny manoeuvrability in combat and it makes him a force to be reckoned with in the air.
WEAKNESSES:Nighthawks bulk can be more of a hindrance than a help on the battlefield; in his efforts to perfect his aerial combat skills he has neglected other areas, and his ground fighting abilities in mech mode are decidedly average. He also suffers from a condition known as mode attachment making him reluctant to stay in mech form for prolonged periods of time along with a mild phobia of confined spaces.
