How many of you have a PRiD Soundwave? Well, did you know that the cone on the back of his plane mode is on up-side-down!?
It doesn't let his head go al the way up in bot mode unless you unlatch his back (a little) Here's what he normally looks like:

Now, you'll notice it sits pretty low, even by Soundwave standards. BUT. If you take the cone on the back of his alt/bot mode:

open it

POP IT OFF

Turn it around, and re-connect it, then fold it in. The result is a Prime Soundwave with a much better and more posable head!

Also it covers up the back end of his vehicle mode even better than before!

Mine was actually assembled correctly, I believe... I haven't checked it in awhile, lol.

Is it actually misassembled? Or does it just coincidentally turn out better when you reverse it?

Mine is actually misassembled, he has two of the same black pieces that connect the wings to the torso.

Why do people insist on it being assembled wrong? It isn't. Those angled cut outs are clearly meant for his chin to slip through in vehicle mode. Soundwave is assembled correctly. Its just a happy accident that if you flip that thruster piece, it holds his head up better.

BINGO.

Plus, he's supposed to slouch. When his head reveals and pops forward into place, the notch in his chin, lines up perfectly with Laserbeak's tail.

As is, out of the package, that's how he's meant to be. This is nothing more than a "happy" accident.

Ironically mine was miss assembled with the angled cut outs faced upwards in alt mode.

Can't you just manually push his head up if you want? That's what I've been doing, no parts flipped or anything.

Yup.

There's a notch on his spine (or whatever it is) that stops the head from falling back down.

Swapping this part means the back doesn't shut quite as much in alt mode. It doesn't seem to affect the head articulation. If you need the extra space for the head just open the back a little.
