The Sears in Pekin had a ton of classics. I only had cash on me to bring home 3 of them (or one Classics voyager and one of the smaller ones). I brought home Astrotrain, Starscream, and Mirage. I intend to go back tomorrow with some cash to pick up Megatron, Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and Cliffjumper. Or maybe that's going overboard, what do you guys think? They also had a pair of '74 BB's and a movie Jazz (regular Deluxe, not Final Battle Jazz) though I think I'd rather have the Target-exclusive G1 repaint. I already have a movie-colored FAB Jazz, so I'm not really in need.
I also got a Ramjet at the Wal-Mart in Litchfield, IL yesterday, and ordered the Menasor Titanium plus a 20th Anniversary Prime from the HTS.
I love travel and I love more the mileage checks; 48c/mile rocks when you're driving 800 miles.

Dorkimus, excellent haul. I hope to find a classics mini gold mine at my Sears, as my most wanted are Bumblebee, Starscream, Optimus, and perhaps a Megatron.
Wish me luck!

excellent haul. while you're at it (and have the cash), get the OP & BB. can't comment on megs cuase i don't have him yet, and he looks like a nerf gun IMHO lolz. also cliffjumper is just a recolor of BB.

all the comments above are the HUMBLE OPINIONS of the said user only. 'nuff sed.

Thanks.
Yeah, I was thinking of just OP and BB, or maybe just Megatron and Jumper (since I have no Megatron but I have one Prime and another on the way, and I already have an '08BB). I could hardly believe it when I saw all those Classics, I totally missed that they even had any Movie toys.
It'll probably Megatron and one of the two of Cliffjumper or BB, just to keep my Decepticon:Autobot ratio even (my Decepticon numbers were pretty low in comparison to Autobots until today).

dude, my honest opinion? get classics Optimus Prime. he's the best non-leader/MP/ultra sized classics figure in terms of homage to G1 roots, accessories (his smokestacks and top wind-thingy transforms into guns), and most of all, POSEABILITY.
i got mine waaay before the movie line started and i'm very happy with it (not to mention making some of my collector friends here jealous hehe).
if you can get it MSRB consider yourself a winner because among the classics autobots he and jetfire are always in-demand.

oh, and classics BB/CJ (whichever incarnation you'll get) are also winners. solid, happy figures that really are a homage to their G1 versions. happy shopping!

OK, zemper, on your recommendation I swung by Sears this morning as they opened and got both OP and BB, and I went ahead and grabbed Megatron, too. When I get home tonight, I'll get pics of the whole Classics bunch (what I have anyway...Ramjet, Starscream, Astrotrain, Megatron, OP, BB, and Grandpa Mirage - named as such because I can't seem to get the hunch out of his back.
).

wow, congrats on the great haul! what, you inherited your great-granduncle's fortune or something? hahaha, just kidding man.

classics are great. i tell ya, u won't be disappointed by classics prime. he may look cartoony if you're used to the movie toys, but he's got EXTREME replay value. for the articulation alone, none in the movie toys can beat him.

anyway no catch for me today, and it seems for the rest of the weekend. just about completed a thorough search of the toy stores here after work earlier, and nothing new. m holding out for an optimus primal by a seller i met on the net though, whaddya think he's worth? the original 96 primal, not the anniversary one. thanks guys.

no, no...no inheritance. The extra money leftover after maintenance and gas from some mileage checks (from work travel) goes to feed my need.

Tukwila, WA Southcenter had the new Robo Replicas line out. Picked up one of each Barricade, Bumblebee and Megatron.
These are actually pretty darn cool! I'd have to say though that Megatron's face looks a little goofy. the detail isn't that great on it. Other than that the other 2 figures I'm pleasantly surprised with!
That was all that came out new there today though. Finally something after 2-3 weeks. Sheesh! Transformers are increasingly hard to find now.
TRU no longer has their huge section up and i find the same junk daily which is pretty much nothing. Sad. C'Mon HASBRO! People want to buy these things!!!!!

About a week ago, I shelled out $3.00 for a bundle og g1's. I got a mint condition Kup, mint Warpath, horrid hound, and grapple minus hands and guns. But making hands was easy, just used RiD prime's.

A loose TRU Reissue Optimus Prime for $20. Everything there except for his packing foam and see-through box plastic.
And in the exact same condition, TRU reissue Ultra Magnus. I acquired him by trading away an amusement park ticket I was given at work and had no intention of using, so essentially, he was FREE!!
