Got a trio of Legacy deluxes at my local geek store. Sure, they cost 2.50$can more each compared to Amazon.ca, but at least I won't have to wait until May.

I dunno where to post this so might as well be here.

I opened and played with Tonkanator. Appart the scary bit of "breaking" the leader's arms to make them move, and the fact that the combiner chest plate is missing 2 stickers, Tonkanator is DAMN SOLID.

Tight everywhere, and STABLE. A far cry from the horrendous Takara reissue in toon colors.

Well worth the 140$can total.

Tonkanator is also H2 Devastator's long lost twin brother.

Hit Target this morning, finally found "Voyager" Ironhide as well as Core Sludge, my first Core Dinobot.

Then I got a big load of stuff from BBTS dropped off by FedEx this morning, 21 items in all, but only one is a Transformer, Re-Action Unicron. They also dropped off my G1 Movie repaint Hot Rod from Walmart, which came in a padded bag that the driver dropped in the mud in my driveway because he was trying to carry everything all at once and it slid off the top. :roll:

Definitely not worth the full price but on sale, they both are worth it for originality alone.

I recently bought some upgrade kit for Megs and the Reprolabels. He will be perfect after this small custom job.

Got some catching up to do here.

First, Armada Jetfire's shield, weeks overdue by this point. It's not strictly speaking the right one for my Jetfire because Mine's Powerlinx, but in this case the differences are slight enough.

And that little touch adds nicely to the Tower of Death.

Less-overdue is Netflix Bumblebee, bought from someone on Twitter. This actually started a few days after Christmas, but they were going through a lot so the transaction didn't close until recently.

And finally, got Legacy Metalhawk on Saturday. He's pretty cool.

I too just got my god of flame in. This thing is hell on my nerves. It has not core, but is a series of small connections that i fear breaking holding these massive parts together. Like it's designed to apply maximum stress to all these delicate little connections. And to turn the lights on/off you have to remove a bunch of pieces i would rather never mess with again. That said so far nothing has broken and other than the batteries covers i've been able to remove and reattach those parts without incident or wear. I feel like this thing won't be ok ten years from now unless i treat it like a museum piece. That said, visually and from a model perspective it's a real beauty and a very detailed piece with a ton of accessories. If i had nice glass case this would be on display. The pieces that snap on seem to be sturdier than i feared and this is one of the few pieces made in china that hasn't broken on day one for me. Worth it as a display piece, but sadly not of a design that makes for a good toy. And it has so many accessories that make me want to play with it too much. Glad i have it but i'll have to settle with the hasboro cartoon version for any real playing.

Had pretty good luck at Target this morning. Picked up Metalhawk and Core Slug who was on the "feature" outcrop half shelf with the Earthrise finger figures along with Soundblaster (Sludge was in the TF section). Still haven't found Inferno...

I went to my local geek store this afternoon to dump my Silverstreak collection along two more G1 that I didn't care about for store credit.

Thay way, I could get my second Guardian Robot (the first one will ship in May) and I had "early access" on SS RotB Scourge!

My SUPREME display will be EPIC.... in a month or two.

The one that got sacrificed for the cause were Nightbeat (good condition, complete) Silverstreak (ok condition, complete) and Sunstreaker (poor condition, complete). The rest of the trade-ins were Silverstreaks from Siege, ER, Universe, and the Hasbro MP (no box). Then SS Bee Ratchet and Legacy Minerva (she's garbage). I still had to pay 45$CAN plus taxes.

Sure, I could have had "more money" through eBay, but I avoid all the hassle. Plus the store credit soak the taxes so it's as if he give me 15% more.

There's tons of old TF I got rid of this way.
If you have some G1 and original Beast Wars / Transmetals toys that are in good condition and complete, he'll give a bit more than usual because his inventory in them is low.
