Which ones? Bob Budiansky did a load of the G1 bios, if that's any help.

I feel like I've walked into a conversation halfway through. Care to explain what you're talking about?

If Budiansky was an EMO, then he was a pioneer of the EMO breed, and a man 25 years ahead of his time...
Hasbro lacky's write the current bio's, while Budiansky is responsible for the vast majority of G1 bio's.
Awesomesauce; Use it, you know you want to.

YES! because it's totally hip nowadays to call everything you find stupid 'EMO!!1'
Seriously, 'emo' seems to be the slang replacement for 'gay' nowadays

That's debatable, now people tend to use them together.

IMHO, emo sucks. 'nuff said. alternative music's been there and done that years ahead, with much better lyrics and without the stupid outfits and makeup.
anyways, i could find one bio who would really fit emo-types: Dropkick.

The majority of the older ones are good, in that they treat the biography process as a place to denote strengths, weaknesses, attitude and the like. The current ones are sort of TMI, and none of it very useful. There should certainly be relatable qualities about Transformers which help us understand them, but there's a world of difference between Huffer being a snarky, sour little guy and telling us that Shortround is a stalker who obsesses over other boatbots. I think the fact that the older ones contained less exclamation marks and cracks about comic books helps too.

I disagree. While the bios traditionally are kind of (or very) lame, the movie toys have some of the worst bios ever. Someone mentioned Elita-1s, and that one is pretty bad, but the best of the worst IMO is Robovision Primes, about how he took on the alt mode of the "coolest thing he ever saw", which happens to be this big rig. I'm not saying a rig ain't cool, but geez, where does 'cool' come in when factoring an interplanetary war? Lame.

I really enjoyed the old G1 tech specs and took time to read and reread them. Combined with the comics from back then these were some great avenues for my imagination to go wild!
The newer ones after RID IMO seem slightly lacking. But that is change so we must adjust or fall behind, right?
