Erm..he already has hasn't he? The Transformers didn't crash land in the Ark, they didn't lay offline for millions of years until a volcanic erruption reawoke Teletran-1, they look like twistied metal car crash debris in robot mode, the matrix is called the allspark and its a giant cube, Jazz and Megatron have already kicked the bucket, etc..etc.. I think that ship has sailed.

I was talking besides that. And you forgot to mention that AUTOBOT = AUTONOMOUS ROBOT
Well if you think from this point forward Bays going to suddenly become strictly faithful to G1 continuity then you're in for another disappointing movie and Bay really could not care less.
Yours AK
I agree. Who knows what the third movie could be like?

We could have Masterforce; bracelets and transtectors with the return of Scorponok as Black Zarak. Yes, it would be this good.

If Unicron plays in the second or third movie... Now that would be cool!

No, it wont.
In fact, there will be less interesting storylines after Unicron turns up.
Bay will probably just use the chance to cause more screenhavic and explosions.

And what if Bay turns Unicron into just a tank? It wouldnt seem suitable.
And if Unicron is giant metal planet, normal movie-goers wont find that too logical either.

What if Bay makes his alt mode to be just a car, or a bus, or Nokia...

Actually, the Nokia-bot in the movie was designed to resemble Unicron...

Hahah! I hope Unicron doesn't use his evil powers to consume planets!

Speaking of which, why does it seem like the AllSpark causes mechanical things to turn evil?
The MountainDew, Nokia, X-Box , car robots all attacked people and were hostile.
And the nokia and vending-machine ones had red eyes.

Im not sure it would be. TBH after the G1 movie, G1 Marvel comics, Beast Wars Neo, Armada, Enegon and Cybertron(sort of), Unicron has kinda been done to death. Plus even in the is day and age I really don't think technology is up to putting a convicing CGI Unicron on the big screen.

The Allspark turns stuff bad when the good guy is holding on to it.
Does that mean that the Allspark is evil? Or that Sam is evil?

Strange question. It doesn't make sense either. If Megatron holds the Cube, does this mean that he'll create the Autobots?

I think the official explanation is that all of Earth's technology is reverse-engineered from Megatron, therefore it's all inherently evil. This was never really explained in the actual film, though.

Imagine this:
Megatron: "I SHALL USE THE CUBE TO CREATE AN ARMY OF..... AUTOBOTS?!"

So basically it was a massive plot hole that people (official or otherwise) are franticly trying to fill with fuzzy logic?

Yes. Much like how anyone else knew that a map had been burnt onto the glasses, or why they buried the Cube in a dam to shield it from N.B.E. detection, only to house an N.B.E. in the room next door.

Or why Bumblebee was interested in Sam in the first place as he knew nothing of the glasses at that point, or why it was concidered a good military decision to chose a city centre as the venue for the final battle?
