Just a quick rant because I feel like I've just been stiffed.

recently got a pile of loot from BBTS, no problems there,

package arrived with a bill for import duties for €28, ($35), its on %value
so i was thankful that it was just a small $120 pile of loot.

So if anyone buys stuff from foreign stores, (Japan, Australia) after postage and stuff, do you get charged import fees on delivery?
Fearing what customs will make of my club membership and the subscription figures if and when they happen.

I know the Netherlands has that, but it depends on what the package is designated as. For instance, gifts are duty free, though technically not entirely legal. Fortunately, some stores do oblige to such requests, so it doesn't hurt to ask them beforehand.
