You know, I'm extremely skeptical about Animated (I don't like the animation, Prime looks like Mr Freeze), but the theme song is a proper Transformers theme song.

It is superior to all those slow, emotionless, same note and volume laalaa songs we were presented with shortly before the 2007 movie came out.

This song on the other hand, it has power, it has an exiting pass, it changes rythm and volume, it presents passion, it sounds Transformery techy. This song is a very good update of the original song.

Hearing the song makes me want to like Animated, I hope Animated can fulfill the promise of this song: something new born from something old while the core is still there.

Its sounds alright but I really wish they come up with something new rather than using the same tired old theme tune over and over and over again, it's super lazy.

C'mon AK, you are talking about Hasbro here, if it wasn't lazy, we'd all think it was some new company in charge!

I was hoping now their making their own show again that they might put the effort into creating a new theme tune, you know like they did with BW and BM and Takara have done with every single TF show ever!

The only thing that I dislike about the new theme is that it lessens the slightly melancholic undertones of the G1 one.

I have to agree, a new song would be nice, but re-using the same song does allow for some brand recognition. The other thing is, I really didn't like the theme tunes to the Beast series, even thought the shows were top-quality.
