Tarn's more likely than these characters:

Phreaker, Joyride, Signal Lancer, these Jungle Planet generics, the Ancient Decepticon generics, and the unnamed bus and submarine refugees from Cybertron.

But don't forget, Tarn became a well loved TF character in the comics, and Flame Toys made a non-transforming one that sold out pretty dang well. I think he has a far better chance at a future toy

Cancelled because POTP was half-assed, possibly because Hasbro decided to have a 'clean start' with Siege.

So I was just reading the newest issue of the Part Work and... I wanted to throw this out there:

Chosen One Starscream

I've always preferred the post-Movie Futuristic Flier design and this brings Starscream right upto date in my eyes, at least.

Not in the issue itself (TAAO #12) It is literally the panel I posted and one more showing him stamp on something. There might be concept art or a Sketchbook online somewhere from the artist (Sara Pitre-Durocher) for it though.

Thanks, it is a good design, and I'll have a dig to see if she posted any sketchs up when the issue originally came out.

One thing I'd love to see which one Hasbro guy briefly mentioned (don't know which guy or where) but is very unlikely due to the current Generations plan of remake-everyone-from-G1-down-the-line is the idea of a Generations line with new characters. I'd love to see them try new designs, new altmodes and new transformation schemes just to flex their creative muscles, akin to what we see from the Power Core Combiner torso which had some serious oddballs like Sledge, Icepick and Undertow.

I think the power core Combiners needed more love, maybe legend sized tfs that became the limbs. Or maybe just redo them so they just combine with the minicons better

The thing is, remaking classic (mainly G1 since it needs it the most) characters, and sometimes giving toys to toyless G1 characters (like Elita et al), has always been the main bailiwick of CHUG. Completely new characters have been dabbled in but they're more the bailiwick of the "new stuff" (that is, movieverse and current show) lines du jour.

I think it would be interesting for a CHUG line to be 50/50 with new designs. There are G1 guys who never had toy form (such as comic characters and those who became convention exclusives, like Devcon) and these could be an interesting opportunity, with the knowledge of just how far modern retooling goes, to experiment a little bit.

Mind you I posted the idea in here and this thread is called 'The TF you want but you know HasTak will NEVER make... ;_;' :lol:

That would be oversize. Straxus was never a really tall guy.

I would say the existing Generations toy is the perfect size. And he can do the "flying gun" mode:

What is it you feel he lacks?

Thaat said, a new Straxus (who will probably still get called Darkmount) is probably more likely than, say, Macabre.

I agree with this. the current Micromasters, given a hand/foot piece and the ones without it a waist swivel, would make good tiny combiner limbs
